ok my thought is these deals are only happening as a deal to sell Bale has been agreed.

I've read that rumour. Looks like an unbelievable deal to get Coentrao as well. I have to say the business you have done has been really good and if you get those reported extra players, then you will look very strong this season.

The Goat has been told that that Willian is confirmed apart from medical, all AVB work, that Lamela is our next target, all Baldini work, AND there is a further CF relating to Ade's pending transfer, which in turn relates to Fenerbache's continued participation in the Champions League, although other offers for him also in early stages.

Willian and Lamela are NOT related to the Bale money - but there is an offer on the table, which may be taken. Coentrao mentioned IS part of this. Will only be taken if up-front cash increased, or overall deal size increased RE future income phases and FFP.

 

So we could end up with Willian, Lamela AND Bale. Wow, that would be a team!!!

 

It would certainly explain our lack of desperation to cover the defensive positions
