Hopefully the rumours of a £15m deal for eriksen and Alderwiereld are true. What a boost those two would be.
Too cheap. I can't see us getting both for that money. Eriksen has 1 year left, so we might be able to haggle like we did with Verts. But I expect us to be paying closer to £20m
I think re Bale reporting for the Wales squad. He has to be officially ruled out by their medical team on advice of ours. Nothing sinister about that, it's protocol. I would rather a fully fit Bale than him playing just to appease the masses. I fully trust AVB and the club in this instance .

Liverpool have long been linked with a bid for the 24-year-old, while reports on Sunday claimed that Tottenham have joined the chase for Alderweireld. The speculation suggested that Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas wants to sign Alderweireld and his Ajax team-mate Christian Eriksen in a £15million double deal. However, according to the Dutch media, Russian outfit Spartak Moscow are the club to have submitted the latest offer for the defender. Ajax's director of football Marc Overmars declined to name the interested party, but confirmed talks are ongoing. "We have received an offer," Overmars told De Telegraaf. "We won't give any names as we are still in talks. "But, just like with Norwich City earlier, I expect we can work out a deal with this club." Alderweireld has one year left on his contract at Ajax and has previously expressed a desire to move to either the Premier League or Bundesliga.
Are you sure about that, PL? That Sky report seems to suggest that Ajax haven't mentioned where the club are from, only that the Dutch media are linking it with Spartak.
Perhaps I have been deceived PNP. Knew I read somewhere about a Russian interest. If so hope it's us who have bid, worries me a bit that we have nearly half the Belgian national squad.
Some media sources are claiming that it's a bid from Russia, but Ajax haven't confirmed it. Wouldn't surprise me, but he might not want to go there in a World Cup year.
Why couldn't have Andre said that he's going along to be part of the team for a morale boost, rather than making it seem like he could play, but then not play for us days later?
I think I read a comment from Eriksen somewhere saying that although he had received offers, he would only leave to go to a club that played the kind of football he liked, and wanted to play. Whether that's just bollocks, and nobody as offered him what he wants, I don't know.
I read on another site that a fan talked to Capoue, who said/agreed that it was 'done and dusted'. However, it's still not on the OS.
