One of the Sunday rags have us interested in Andy Carroll. Could do worse depending on how much the Mousers want.
No,not Carroll and I don't think that we could do worse. Why would he do any better for us than at his previous clubs? He can be a head banger off duty and I just don't want him. I like the sound of this Spaniard and we are linked with Dzeko which appeals to me. Ade and Defoe to be replaced,Parker and Gallas thank you very much but goodbye. Holtby to be given a lot of matches to improve and goodbye Brad. Some teams want Huddlestone so why not?
I'd take him - at the right price. But realistically, are the Mousers going to sell to us? At a reasonable price, too? I somehow doubt it. Personally, I don't think he's that bad a player. A bit young & silly, and hopefully he'll grow out of that - plus he was never worth anywhere near what was paid for him.
Soldado sounds like a realistic and worthwhile target, especially considering Valencia's financial problems. Doesn't look like a player who'd struggle to adjust to the Premier League. We've also watched Mohammed Salah of Basel, apparently. Not surprising given his first leg performance at WHL and our lack of suitable cover for Lennon.
I'd give Stocker a bid. Can anybody tell me which of Harry's signings are still playing regular first team football.
I'm hoping that Taarabt can impress in the remaining QPR games. We could do with his fee going up, as we get 40% of it.
What I'd prefer to do now is to off load all or most of Harry's signings and let Andre stamp his character on the team. Bale wasn't one of Harry's signings but I'd keep him of course.
We've been linked with Baines again today. £12m, according to the media. Assou-Ekotto, Naughton and Rose out, Baines, Smith and a back-up left-back in? Wouldn't cost us much, if anything.
Sandro, Walker...and then we have the conundrum that is who gets credit for Kaboul and Defoe, as two managers signed them.
I think that you have to give credit to Redknapp for both of those Croydon, as Redknapp was the one that took them away from Spurs and then brought them back.
best LB in the Prem this year (or at least neck and neck with Evra). In his prime, loads of assists and goals. If the chance is there, we'd be mad not too. the key to moving forward is to improve continuously, if that comes at the expense of your rivals then it;s a win win. Utd are the best at this in the league. Bayern also do it.
He's been consistent with it too, SG. In November there were a bunch of articles about him creating the most chances of any player in Europe and then they popped up again a couple of weeks ago. His contract situation and doubts about Moyes' future might allow us to take advantage of things, so he'd be well worth it, in my opinion.
I'm looking froward to the summer transfer window to see some good new strikers etc. I've perked up with Arsenal only drawing today but their remaining matches aren't that tough,Newcastle for example. A second year in the club unless he's poached will be good for Andre and us. These next four matches are going to be hell for us,will we,won't we etc and very nervy for players and supporters alike.
Plus Everton never have any money to spend so they might be glad of the cash! I think our transfer policy, as ever, will be dictated by our league position entirely - if we get CL, we might see a clearout and some decent players brought in. If it's EL then the rubbish will hang around like a bad smell and we'll buy next to nothing as well. Then Levy will wonder why we do worse next season
What about Luke Shaw as backup for the LB position? Has looked good at Saints this season - got pace and defends reasonably well. Could turn into another Bale if managed right.
