Leandro's already had pre-season with Internacional, so if he has games against Loserpool and Newcastle along with the three weeks of training with us, he should be finding his feet by the Arsenal game (if he doesn't hit the ground running with us, that is) Our season doesn't end after the MUPLC game - we've got eleven games after it, including a trip to Chavford Bridge and some potential banana skins (Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland, Everton)
We might get to see Carroll play for Derby against Forest on Sunday. It's going to be televised on the Beeb, I believe.
Stating the obvious really but interesting nonetheless - http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7466378/Jordan-Business-as-usual I fancy Spurs to be busy in terms of enquiring about people - I still struggle to see us signing anyone though. (Roll on Wednesday morning when we're on here discussing how to fit Hoilett and Damiao into our squad)
According to France Football, Corluka is heading to Germany on a 6-month loan: http://www.francefootball.fr/#!/news/2012/01/30/182307_corluka-arrive-a-leverkusen.html Well, as Arsenal fan I know that France Football is really reliable
If Bostock looks like this for his squad photo... please log in to view this image ...I dread to imagine the look on his face when he found out he'd been loaned to Sheffield Wednesday!
Rodallega ?? I hope not-that is really desparate. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...hugo-rodallega-deal-after-wigan-match?cc=3436
This is more likely(I know, its the Fail) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...e-bid-sign-Emmanuel-Adebayor-permanently.html
This was from the BBC page: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...inst-Spurs-on-deadline-day-article859419.html
Sorry Perrymanlegend it was'nt on the site when i looked but i've looked again and seen it,let qpr have him,i say
Totally agree. Harry always says "I'll only sign someone who'll improve what we've got". Sorry chaps, but IMO rodallega won't.
I don't know enough about Rodellega to say if he's a good buy, I do know enough about him to say he could be the sort of cover for Ade that I was looking for. I've seen him enough to know he can 'run about a bit' (are you listening Pav and he can lead the line. If we got him in, my guess is that Harry would see that as improving the squad. Him in and Pav out, might be good business, assuming his wages will be similar to Pav's and his fee would be similar to Pav's. As I say I'm not advocating this particular move, but I have been advocating a move of this nature, a Zamora/Doyle/Long type player, I can add Rodallega to this list. I'm not saying anyone of these is what I'd choose, I'd have to know far more about their circumstances and abilities. But a player who is Prem proven and can lead the line, and won't cost much, seems a good back up for Ade.
I'm hearing a loan move for Louis Saha from a Everton fan at work. Hopefully it might be a load flannel.
Got to love the BS that comes in on the live tickers Bowdo on text, via 81111: "My brother works to Spurs website, Adebayor is to sign a permanent deal with them... As Defoe goes to City! Replacement for Tevez? Will Harry get another striker? Doubt it
Bit late this morning but hey ho Despite the fact it's only 10:40am - we've already been linked to every player under the sun: - Apparently, we're trying to get Adebayor in permanently for £8m - seems a good deal if we can get his wages within our structure - Hugo Rodallega - this rumour appeared out of the blue! In my book, he doesn't get anywhere near NEW STRIKER but...if Pav leaves I can see Hugo being a decent buy - he's not bad at Wigan. - Pav out? His training ground bust up with Kevin Bond may have sealed his fate - get to work Daniel and get him out of here! - Corluka to Leverkusen on loan - according to the BBC and SSN, it seems like this one has legs. Understandable - Corluka is a good player and he's fallen behind Walker in the pecking order. Mario Marin (I thought it was Marko Marin?) - apparently we're looking at him again but only if Pav and Corluka leave - good signing if true - I rated him when we played WB in the Champions League Samba and Hoilett - Samba won't come to Spurs, unless Blackburn get really desperate. Hoilett is potentially a go-er in my book and he'd be a decent signing. ---------------------- That's just off the BBC gossip site - I'll post again with updates from the newsfeed
And for the updates... ------------------ Darren Bent to Spurs - no...just no Pienaar/Saha loan swap - I would literally go and stand outside Spurs Lodge and be like Gandalf (YOU CANNOT PASS) if Saha turns up. Terrible player - really hope that's not true. Adebayor permanent + Defoe to City - can't see that happening. We'd be mad to let Defoe go. From SSN - GDS has shunned interest from Russia and the US as he still wants Spain. Apparently he turned down a £13m to Udinese :O ------------------- That's it from me for updates - I'm now tentatively watching the feeds hoping we avoid the dross and sign someone amazing. Come on Mr Levy - Demba Ba please
Moorpheus, Harry mentioned that GDS bid after the last window. His agent was complaining that we didn't accept a £3mill bid from Sevilla and 'Arry pointed out that we had a £10mill, plus £3mill in add ons bid from Udinese but GDS ****ed it up I guess we're stuck with him.
Must've missed that one! Apparently we now want £8m or something - we should just accept a decreased amount and then be glad he's off the wage bill. ---------------- Update from BBC - "I'm working in Liverpool airport and have just seen Jermain Defoe being rushed into a waiting car. Praying he's going to Melwood." Please don't sell our strikers to Liverpool please Mr Levy...
We haven't had 'I work at Heathrow and I have just seen ****** coming through heading for North London' YET!
