http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/888395...et-to-end-spurs-nightmare-with-spain-transfer <fingerscrossedsmiley> James Forrest????
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16750126.stm So Senegal are out of the ACON and Pardew has said that Ba might make the game on Wednesday. To clarify: A proven Prem striker who has shown his quality over the course of the last year and been one of the league's top scorers and who has a buy-out clause that Harry thinks is less than £10m will be back in the country before the transfer deadline and he plays for a club whereby a move to Spurs would be seen as a step up. That's all I'm saying...
dont u just hate sh*t like this? - yeah...because we are obviously going to be spending 15mill euro's on a full back... http://elcentrocampista.com/2012/01/spurs-chase-van-der-wiel/?
He's at the ACON! He plays for Newcastle! He won't cost much! He's a proven player in the EPL! (I will be genuinely baffled if we don't make a bid - I always say that all signings are a risk but with this one the risk is surely minimal).
We're linked to a few Sao Paulo players these days (we were linked to Casemiro and Lucas not so long ago), which says something about our link-up with Internacional. On the plus side, Uvini has yet to be called up to the Brazil squad (unlike Leandro, or the othert two aforementioned players) so we can actually negotiate...
Don't know about this Uvini - don't follow all the gossip (would rather make it up myself - see above). But if he's not played for Brazil won't that make a work permit tricky, as QPR found the other day with their bloke?
I hope this is true..... http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2012/01/29/spurs-offered-highly-rated-striker-damiao-for-20million-102039-23724985/ Just the sign of commitment from Levy and Harry that we have major intent. It'd make me feel better anyway, even if it's the only thing that happens.
Has there ever been any indication how this deal with Internacional works? I mean - what do they get out of it? Apparently we (supposedly) get first dibs on their players and now, according to the rock-solid source that is the People, they offer us a striker for less money than they'd get elsewhere. I can't see any of our players going the other way or them getting to loan any of our promising youngsters. LDL - the kitten bookmark is very funny.
His name is being randomly linked to anyone these days - MUPLC last week, for example - but his agent isn't throwing the names of Barca, Real and Juve around like confetti to jack up his commission...sorry, his players' deserved salary. We could try and offload GDS to Loserpool for around £15m - or alert Ferguson to Gomes' availability...
What do people think about making a move for Adam Johnson in the summer? Doesn't get that many chances at City so might be open to a move. Would satisfy our need for another winger, can play on either flank, eye for goal, all round great player in my opinion.
Bostock's supposedly going on loan to Sheffield Wednesday. Let's hope that he approaches it with the right attitude and it works out for him.
He's a top player and I've always thought we should go for him but I can't see City selling anyone other than Adebayor to us. They'll see us as a threat now and won't be in a rush to sell us someone they still use, who's not a silly wage.
Tom Carroll has gone out on loan to derby and bostock is very close to joining the Owls. (on loan also) perhaps, finally, there's going to be some movement coming in?.... 36 hours....
If Carroll is given enough game time at Derby he should do well, I can see him being discriminated against for being 12 though...
I think that was to be expected with us going out of the Europa League. Hopefully you're right though and we'll see a couple of players join us/
So that's why you didn't bid for Nasri. We've got one player who might do well for you. Formerly of Barcelona, MVP in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup, winner of the U-17 World Cup, scorer of the best goal in the 2011 Gold Cup. He's yours for £12m...
