'Arry wants to keep him it seems. Perhaps Levy told him Hoilett's a no go unless we get him free in the summer?
Rumour from the Mirror CSKA Moscow want Niko no fee mentioned. Not sure about that he most likely will be in the same situation as he is now not first choice.
Dean Parrett has joined Yeovil Town on a month's loan - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16548477.stm QPR's bid for Pienaar has been rejected with Redknapp not wanting to weaken the squad - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16550299.stm I wouldn't want to see Pienaar go - he's a good squad player but I can understand his frustrations. His ambitions were probably quite high joining from Everton - now (through injury + squad strength) he's lucky if he's on the bench. With regard to Leandro Damiao - Inter Milan were always the other club in the battle if I recall correctly - I wonder, if they get Tevez, will that open the door for us? I'm not so sure Adebayor is the right answer anymore - he misses too much when other (similarly priced strikers) would have got a goal.
I wonder if Redknapp's suddenly decided that Pienaar's the answer to what to do when Lennon's missing? He seems to make decisions like this sometimes, when someone impresses in an unfamiliar role, even as a sub.
The "other" club keeps changing - Juventus, Barca, Real, Arsenal and Unnamed Ukrainian Club have, at various points, all been the rival bidders.
The amount of shenanigans from his agent does make it sound like he's just randomly shouting the name of another club to try and kick-start a transfer auction, or try and force our hand in negotiations - which would benefit Leandro's agent more than anyone else.
This agent is beginning to put me off to be honest, within a couple of years of him being at Spurs the agent is surely going to be throwing his name about looking for another big money move
I have no idea how reliable footybible is (from the way it's written, it doesn't come across as official ) but here you go http://footy-bible.co.uk/spurs-eye-up-move-for-15m-dutch-striker I think out of the 2 strikers we're mainly linked with (Remy + Damiao), I'd prefer Huntelaar overall. His record in the Bundesliga is exceptional atm plus he should link up well with Van der Vaart.
We've dealth with some real bastard agents in our time - when we were in the market for Diego his agent was causing all manner of problems and finding excuses to ratchet up the transfer fee or wages or anything else, whilst Arshavin's was blatantly trying to bring another club into a bidding war and raisign the transfer fee even though nobody else was even bidding.
City will spend big. They'll replace Tevez with someone at least as expensive. Hopefully that'll piss off at least two of their current strikers.
We should try to arrange a loan of Damaio for the Brazilian close season. It looks like no one is willing to take a chance for the money Internacional want. If he plays a blinder for us he'll have proven he can hack it in Europe and Inter can ask for whatever they like and probably get it. The problem of course is if he can't hack it. Inter will then be left with some worthless horseflesh. How confident are Inter?
We wouldn't really benefit from that though, Gericalo. If he plays well, then someone else would buy him and if he doesn't, then we've borrowed a turnip for a while.
I don't think we're going to get him on a perm now anyway so if he could just help in this season's title push i'd be happy. And you never know, he might just like playing for us. After all we play good football, are title contender with great team spirit
