Roo for once you're right. We have recalled Livermore! I'm now starting to doubt Sherwood as why recall Livermore when we need a playmaker ( just for YV) in the team. He can redeem himself by recalling Carroll.
A little over 24 hours left and we all know Spurs usually have some part to play on Transfer Deadline Day. So what's your predictions/ opinions for the final day guys and gals? Prediction categories: Who we'll buy: Who we'll loan in: Who we'll fail to buy/ loan in: Who we'll sell: Who we'll loan out: Who you wish we'd signed: Which club will make the biggest signing: My thoughts: Who we'll buy: Berbatov. Who we'll loan in: Nani. Who we'll fail to buy/ loan in: Tom Ince (loan). Konoplyanka (buy). Who we'll sell: Gomes. Who we'll loan out: Holtby, Capoue, Archer, Stewart, Coulibaly. Who you wish we'd signed: one of Luke Shaw/ Coentrao/ Criscito. Which club will make the biggest signing: Man Utd, I think they've got one more trick up their sleeve. Not sure who it'll be but I think they'll get someone big.
Sorry, I'd misread when I posted that last comment. The Ukrainian is going to liverpool, not us. It was "apparently" that told me that, boss. Livermore?! WTF. I'm really surprised he's not requesting to stay at hull. I wouldn't come back if I was him. No guarantee he'll play and he's doing well at hull. Bizarre.
Nani is supposedly off to inter, SOS. We won't get anyone, unless a Random VDV type crops up last min, IMO. Liverpool seem to be showing real intent. They've kept their best player and appear to be progressing at quite a pace. FairPlay to them.
So Bentaleb and Livermore to form the midfield. Out goes Capoue and Holtby while Sandro is now looking at a fight to start when he should be first name picked. Seriously, Jake Livermore? Come on!!
I told you at the start we wouldn't sign anyone, only promote kids or recall loans. Apparently you didn't listen
Ha ha you know Boss! It's the least excited I have ever been for a transfer deadline day. I think there will be little going on with probably more outgoings than signings. I can't think of anyone we really need, just try to make these players work as a team. Another van der vaart type signing would be lovely though!
Very surprised at recalling Jake. Feel sorry for him to be honest because unless Tim believes he's better than one of Sandro/ Dembele/ Paulinho to therefore be in the starting XI, he's returning from a decent loan spell to sit on the bench... Odd call.
I think it means Capoue will be on his way out. Boss - let's hope we both are happy tomorrow and Carroll and Benny both get recalled!
When Sherwood took over he said we didn't need to sign certain players as we only need to look at how well Livermore is doing on loan. I think Sherwoodis rrecalling him to start games.
Then that's worrying. Jake's a top guy, I've met him a few times at local boxing events and he's really down to earth, plus being an Enfield lad it's nice to see him do well in the Prem. That said, he's nowhere near the level of the three I mentioned (plus Capoue). I've thought Tim's done a great job so far but if he honestly sees Jake as a starter then I'm seriously going to have to question his ideas there. HOWEVER (dum, dum, dummmm). I may be wrong so please correct me if I am but are Premier League sides allowed to recall players loaned to other Premier League sides? I'm pretty sure there's a ruling stating that you cannot recall a player you've sent to a fellow Prem side.
I agree , we really don't deserve 4th as we are always in biannual chaos. Liverpool have pushed themselves upwards with purpose unlike our net spending leaders. A "buy to sell policy " means no glory , no perm 4th place if ever again , no silverware and a new manager every other year.
I'm sure you can terminate a loan deal even if with another prem club but I'm hoping I'm wrong as Livermore isn't what we need but Sherwood will bring him back in t the summer if the move loan termination isn't possible.
It's not confirmed yet. I thought it was, but I've just seen the source, the fail, so I'll rewind and put it as BS until further notice.
There is another option - a third club has made a bid for Livermore, so we need to terminate his loan with Hull to sell him. If true, that manages to have less class than recalling him even though we have about 703 central midfielders as it is.
Is British football so bad that we can't find players in the lower leagues who can do a service for us? Paying a fortune doesn't seem to cut it for us......!
