Something to take our minds off Brexit, at least.

Yeah, I was being flippant really. But if I was him I wouldn't want to come here in the present circumstances. And I'm not sure he's what we need anyway.

If we were thinking about employing and properly backing an English manager, with an eye on the long term future, I'd be far more keen on Chris Hughton.

But right now we need a quick fix. Someone who is used to crisis management.

Not convinced we need a firefighting/crisis manager. We just need a good manager.

Someone who can make an impact and get a response straight away. That requires a particular skill set.

As crazy as it sounds, I don't think he's as far out of reach as what he should be and would be a bit of a coup for a club like us.

I'd have him over any name mentioned so far.

Maybe a good shout. Perhaps if he does well, he will stick around, and retire with us.
The problem with these other big names, is they continue to move on, after being succssful with us

That goes without saying. But you are equally correct to say that it sounds crazy.

I'd rather have a Poch/Koeman who bring a lot of success before inevitably moving on than a Pellegrino who's woefully out of his depth and seems to know it himself... Putting us in this situation.

    True <laugh>

I just think where he's been around the block alot he's not as bothered about wanting a big club as say a Tuchel, who was absolute dream land in the summer and is even more so now.

    Out of interest,

Is there many out there who still don't want him sacked and think he will turn it around?

If we are going to make the decision to sack Pelligrino, then it's not as if we are 8 points from safety. I don't see the advantage if hiring an unsuitable replacement just because the,y have a track record in keeping clubs up. Big Sam and Pulis have that reputation, but beyond securing Premier League survival, can anyone say that they offer hope for a better future? The board have to make a decision. I was neutral about sacking Puel because despite the cup final, and although he only had one season, the football was dour. I am neutral about Pelligrino too. If the board can get someone better then he can hardly feel that his record and the performances would make that particularly unjust. But can we find another Pochettino or Koeman?

    What about Redknapp?

(For those on mobile devices or colour blind, that is in the bluest blue my computer could manage :) )

I like how there's a Spurs fan reading this thread and none of us are discussing the game <laugh>

Would love him to turn it around.each game that goes by tells me its not gonna happen tho. Yes the manager is not doing a good job but i also think a few of the players need to look in the mirror. Still, its saints so i will will support the club regardless of who is in charge
