He may well believe in himself....jeez, even Townsend believes in himself so yes there will be aspects of him believing he can become number 1, yet that will only happen if Lloris is injured or sold and Vorm will never keep Lloris out of the side (when both are fit).

If a talented keeper wants to stay at a club while understanding they will never be first choice due to a more talented keeper ahead of them, that is for them to be happy with and its highly likely they are making the wrong decision for their career.

Plus as we have seen, it has affected his game and possibly he never understood the impact of missing so many games. But of course I'm now expecting Vorm to be MOTM against Burnley!

Tottenham make three changes from the win over Leicester before the international break. Harry Kane is captain for the first time, Hugo Lloris is injured, Andros Townsend misses out and Paulinho makes a rare start.

Is Verts injured haven't heard anything, so must assume as such.
Not very confident with Dier & Vlad in the middle.

Vorm, Walker, Chiriches, Dier, Rose; Bentaleb, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Paulinho; Kane.
Friedel, Davies, Dembele, Lamela, Stambouli, Townsend, Soldado.

Vertonghen's out through illness, apparently. No idea where Fazio is.
    Looks very vulnerable defensively.

Finally we get a chance to see Paulinho as an inverted left winger...

...or maybe he'll be more central. I think his two very good performances for us last year were more forward and central. Come on Paulinho - I still (don't) believe in you! You're gonna need to set up a couple and score a hat-trick, given our defence.

Although is this like fantasy football? If Kane's our captain do his goals count for double? If so we have a chance.

What's the over/under for Lamela replacing Paulinho at half time?

That is one weird arsed team selection. Ings will run the back 4 ragged and paulinio will give the ball away a lot and chadli will dive around more than vorm.
Apart from that i fully support the choices <laugh>

    Just Ings?

    What about Barnes and Vokes.
The three of them will turn our makeshift defence inside out.

we need to CLEAR IT every time the ball gets anywhere near the defence- if either Vlad or Dier try to play it out then we are in serious trouble.

What looks odd is we don't have a centre back on the bench - unless Davies and/or Stambouli are being pegged as makeshift centre backs.

We are second best all over the pitch.
And defensively we are giving them so much space
