We also have Inter to play before Liverpool whilst they'll have had over a week to prepare. I'd be very surprised if we didn't drop more than 7 points before the end of the season but you can't afford too many slip ups.

I reckon Spurs will lose to Liverpool, beat Everton, draw with City and the Chelsea game is probably a toss of a coin at this stage.

Arsenal have to win 8 out of the remaining 10 to guarantee 4th, but positives are that Chelsea and Spurs still have to play each other.

The win was massive for Spurs, they needed a big enough gap before entering a tough schedule, had Arsenal won today I think they'd have gone on to get top 4 definitely but now it's in the balance.

The two losses to Chelsea and Spurs in the 2nd half of the season could prove pivotal though.

4/21 from United, City, Spurs and Chelsea isn't really good enough.

Where's the blinker brigade and their PR? Perhaps they've grown a pair of balls, built up some decency, and no longer believe the bullshit they've been constantly spewing down our necks for the past 7 months?

Or maybe they'll blame the Tottenham fans for the loss, for wasting time with the ball? Yeah, that's it, whateverrrrrr excuse in the book, just like the airforce, whenever there's a UFO incident, just throw up any bull **** response, erm yes swamp gas, erm yes that was Venus.

It's not over yet yet though, which was my main point. I never expected anyone to run away with 4th at the start of the season and I still don't.

How strange. After the result, I thought I would see Spurs fans coming on HERE and gloating, but it's the supposed Arsenal fan that is doing the gloating over his fellow Gooners. Facts are all Arsenal fans are going to be hurting tonight, so now really is not the time for your inane rantings, A87. Save it for another time. If you want to analyse and talk about this game then fine, but just calling people out and insulting them, when they are not even here to respond, is not going to be tolerated.

with them staying in the Europa league facing tough sides, you have a good chance to reduce the gap and pass them tbh

    Yes, let's analyse the game:

1- Arsenal prove yet again they cannot defend, and this is down to the coach, same old same problem.

2- Arsenal prove yet again they lack a lot of bite in attack, which is also down to their own bad strategy. We should've simply started with Cazorla and Wilshere in the middle, and Podolski out left. I SAID before the game Cazorla isn't that effective out wide, lo and behold we had to take our right back off to get Rosicky into Ramsey's position in the middle of the park because we were lacking any creativity from that area. If we started with a more attack minded team, we could've probably done some damage, but we stifled our own attack, good job.

3- Vermaelen obviously has his head up his ass, the guy's becoming as bad as Djoure in defending, and it's time to find another quality CB because he's not cutting it at the moment, neither has Kos when he's played.

This idea was obvious to most of us before the match. However I've seen the idea floated around that Podolski is carrying a knock...never with an actual link or quote posted along with it mind you, just baseless speculation.

I wonder if Wenger has been asked about why Podolski hasn't been starting despite his great run of form...and if he has been asked as to Podolski's full fitness status as well? Many of us would really like to know.

Sadly, I agree with you. He has 10 games to right the ship, if not, he needs to go. Throw the CL away and give everything we have in the run in here.

There was a blinking idiot on the radio after the game saying "we have to be patient with Wenger" and "we're only losing games by the smallest of margins". If I could have punched him through the radio I would have.

    Just paranoia .

I didnt expect to beat spurs with our defence v Bale , you dont need a calculator to see which way thats going to go.

Im not gonna scream and shout about my rabid dissapointment .

    Im used to it.

If that comes across as " enjoyment "

    It aint.
