Poor pass from the Belgian, though. He's looked poor tonight, though he's far from the only one.

    2-1 FT.
Positives? Kane, Bentaleb, Lloris and all three subs, especially Lamela.
Negatives? Vertonghen, Paulinho, Naughton, Soldado til he scored, Townsend and the general tactics and lack of fitness for some of our players.

Good to get a win and we should put them away in the second leg, as they need to score twice to progress, but there's plenty of work to be done on the team.
I don't want to see another side without a holding midfielder in the starting XI and some of our players need to be held back until they're closer to full fitness.
If we have to arrange behind closed doors games to make that happen, then I'm sure that's doable.

Could anyone post up any links to streams or downloads for a highlights show if they find one? I'll do likewise. I saw sod all of that and missed both of our goals.

Lamela changed the game? That's good news. Shame so many of our attacking players' best starting position is sub's bench.

They'll be pretty tired for the second leg. Takes a lot of effort to row a trireme all the way from Cyprus to London.

Well, what a mess, again, and again we get a messy win. I also missed almost the entire second half due to stream problems. Problems made me miss 30 minutes of the West Ham game (totally different problems). When the stream went down again, I couldn't help thinking it was a good sign, and it turned out to be. Good to hear Lamela got a couple of assists, and that Soldado and Kane scored. While the team clearly is not very good right now, they are showing some character. Also, this team we joke about beat Zenit at home and nearly beat us. It wasn't entirely our being crap (though we were) and that the referee was fairly ridiculous (I still can't believe how Kane got hauled down going in on goal with nothing resembling a touch on the ball and not even a foul); partly Limassol closed down well, stuck to the plan and proved to be a better team than either Zenit or ourselves gave them credit for. It was a nice finish for their goal, I thought.

Lovely pass from Coco and cracking finish.

Left it late for the equalizer but how glad I am it was Bobby Sol and well done KANE. Now we've all seen how some players play well in one comp but not in another so let's see how Bobby does against QPR and Pool because I see no place for Ade. Play to your potential Lamela because we all know you can do it for us.

That was excellent. Soldado scored most of his goals in his Li Liga on low volleys like that one, I thought.

Funny how all our goals I've seen this season are on the counter, even though we've countered very little. It seems so obvious slicing through a parked bus is not working. On the other hand, Ade and Eriksen last year, and Kane, Lamela and Soldado this game, are very dangerous in an open field. Not to mention Dier.

Keeper gets whiplash as his head spins to follow it. Absolutely no attempt to get near it!

Looking at the Kane goal, that was a pretty shocking pass from Lamela, Kane did very well to get on the end of it before the defenders.

I don't see that. I thought he weighted it perfectly into Kane's path.

Kane has a powerful shot on him.

A wins a win but can't help but feel worried. We look so poor at the moment.

Levy has to sell some players and we must invest. Squad is not good enough.
