Had a few chances and Wolves seemed to go to sleep before the break.
Nice finish by Kane, but we really didn't create a lot and the second half needs to be a dramatic improvement.

 

Is it safe to celebrate yet

 

We deserved that lead too. Not tested Patricio much but that’s mainly been down to Coady having a very good game. Bale’s looking dangerous and his one touch movement and control is unreal, if Dele can improve his final ball he’d have had a decent half too. Sweet finish by Harry but arguably a better pass by Hojbjerg for the assist.

 

A long way to go Wolves are notoriously poor in the first half of matches and we have winning been in both the last 2 home matches against them and lost

 

I know he's gone and I should stop talking about him but it really is a huge difference seeing us playing on the front foot again. We need to create more but the talent and intention is back. Great to see.

 

Why is Hojbjerg shooting from there? Incredibly unlikely to score.

1. We don't half hit the wood work a lot.

2. Wolves going forward are panicking our defenders.

3. Son, Lo Celso and Reguilón look like passengers.

4. While we deserved the lead, we are not looking convincing.

Saiss should do a lot better there and we're lucky he didn't. Wakey wakey.
