Also he tweets on the 11th of January that he is hoping to return to full training around middle of February so he is still a few weeks away by the looks of it.
If so, sorry about the Frank Cannon joke Tom (although he's too young to understand it). I'm a big fan really!
I think Parker should start, but if Livermore starts it'll be fine by me. I just hope Scott gets some pitch time, as I don't want him starting against City for his first game in a while.
From the Spurs Facebook page: Good afternoon from Whit Hart Lane! Team news is in for this afternoon's PL match v Wolves, kick-off 3pm. Harry Redknapp makes just one change with Scott Parker returning from injury and replacing Jake Livermore in central midfield. Jake is on the bench. TEAM - Friedel; Walker, Dawson, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Modric, Parker, Bale; Van der Vaart; Adebayor. SUBS - Cudicini, Bassong, Rose, Kranjcar, Livermore, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko. ------------------------------ Defoe was in the gossip today apparently wanting a move due to lack of first team - could be a concern as January rolls on but that's our strongest XI pretty much at the moment.
I can't believe that anyone would want to leave Spurs at the moment, what other title-challenging side would take Defoe?
aah Benny should have cracked it and Yid we expect nothing less today...men behind the ball again for wolves...so Ade will have to take the chances he gets today.
"Danny Rose - a central midfield player could fill in at left back!" I'm going to get furious at this guy aren't I?
matches like this you need a gattusso type of charachter where he gives **** back in the bags full to these players who think they will get all dirty.....a match for Parker today to grip the midfield.
he scored a fair few crackers for West Ham...seems to pass more at spurs insted of having a shot..maybe because he was seen as the saviour there but here we haver lots of options.
