Nothing to say about the third goal, those happen sometimes and you just have to tip your hat to them. As soon as we conceded the first though you just felt something coming, Sanchez looked shaky from the first time he had to deal with Antonio. We look fantastic going forward but without GLC or Tanguy on the pitch we can’t control the midfield, and Jose has some serious work to do on the CBs. On another day Kane gets his hattrick with a shot 3 inches to the right or Bale slots his chance, which he did wonderfully to create by the way. Was surprised VAR didn’t look at the West Ham defender pushing him over as he shot but it would have been a very very soft pen. I hope Joe Rodon is good because we look sorely lacking at CB. Sanchez’s stock is falling by the day, Dier always has a mistake in him and Toby is solid but nowhere near the level he once was.
Amazing. 3-0 up.On comes Gareth...../must finish at least 7-0 now against this pathetic Hammer team. But ...no! TIMBER!!!!!
Just shows how weak we are centrally without Ndombele and Lo Celso. and sanchez... not doing himself any favours again. My feelings towards him are getting more and more like @Dier Hard ‘s to Winks.
Sticking with my statement that he needs to be PL match fit for late november, and other than coming on as a PL sub as today he should be starting the 3 EL group home ties at least.
Ndombele the magician goes off...Winks comes on.... Spurs start to look old hat again shortly after...they score 3. Big., big mistake José.
Our inability to play both halves of a game cost us yet again Against Newcastle it was easy to ignore because the main talking point was another ref not knowing what the handball rule is, but 3-0 up at half time and spending the last ten minutes trying to cling on for the three points is bloody pathetic Also, those blaming Winks are wide of the mark: Hojbjerg and Sissoko should have been able to sit on the lead, which is why they started - and they didn't
Same **** though, as it was against Everton. Giving the ref an opportunity to give a free-kick and then not defending it properly. I suppose the team hasn't had many opportunities to train this season, but it's so, so poor.
£25m would probably have done you a lot of good in the third tier. You could've bought a whole team to sell to Liverpool.
Sick to death of him. Only way you should take Ndombele off is if Lo Celso was on the bench. What the **** is Jose thinking a midfield of Sissoko, Hojbjerg and Winks can do? There’s **** all too it from a forward perspective and just invites trouble.
We were alright for money once we were in the third tier and had our takeover. We'll have it now if it's on offer mind?
The good 1. Son 2. Kane 3. Ndombele 4. The first 45 mins The bad 1. Sanchez 2. In game management 3. The substitutions The ugly 1. Bale's miss 2. The result 3. Sanchez 4. Winks The defence is appalling and to have kept so few clean sheets and to have conceded 2 or more goals zs often as we do is appalling.
Defending set pieces has been an issue for us for at least a year at this point This is what's most aggravating: we expected the ubermensch would stiffen up our defence so we would be able to hold onto a slim lead through sheer bloody mindedness alone, but almost a year on it still looks low on confidence and prone to disintegrating once the first costly error happens
