I'd almost be relieved to see a couple of players rested tonight.

Would be very tempted to give Toby or Eric a night off.

Like a Gold Rush (my favourite programme) mine?

I remember being told off as an apprentice for not saying hello to everyone in the mornings. Hangovers and pure hatred of the old men and their mocking ways had to be put aside. Giving me a bollocking was a good life-lesson. Glad it's 'forced' at THFC.

Agreed. Alli and Dier looked exhausted against Swansea. The problem is that with Dembele out, we can't afford to rest both of them at once. I think Poch will rotate the full-backs but Walker was superb against Swansea and I think he should keep his place - especially for what is a tricky away game. Son for me was our most disappointing player against Swansea so I would keep him on the bench and bring him on when we're 4-0 up with 15 minutes to go.

    Hugo
    Walker Toby Kevin Davies
    Dier Mason
    Lamela Erisken Chadli
    Kane

"It's the bit about the West Ham pitch that concerns me."

As I have repeatedly told you all over the years, turf quality is an irrelevance to
the Academy of Hoof. Whereas other club ground-staff check the weather reports for
info on sun/rain to protect the pitch, the Spanners check the shipping forecasts
    (Lego towers : south-westerly, 8) .

Wet Spam have boarded up the World Cup Sculpture to prevent Spurs fans from vandalising them this evening.

    Why?

While the statue was doused in blue paint by Chelsea fans back in October, there has been no instances of Spurs fans doing anything to the statues to justify such a move - or have Wet Spam moved from smearing our club via Karrunt Brady's newspaper column to smearing the reputation of our fans, because if either of those are the reason there's an old proverb about throwing stones I could use.

I can't see that winning six games in a row can reduce your chances of winning the next game. If anything it ought to be the other way around as the wins shoudl increase confidence.

There is a rumour that Spurs supporters are going to put a compass-aligned sign that points
towards WHL in the hands of the statues. The sign allegedly reading :

This way to the academy of football.

I really don't know what to say, because we've had no time to get used to the idea of our position and its potential. That's a problem we fans have. I was here 55 years ago and that's a lifetime.
I'm glad I have the chance to share these times with you guys, it's a bit special because we are now talking in years the time that many of us have spent on 606 and not606, we don't know each other but we do know each other very well, it's surreal in many ways. Just as Spurs are this season. I'm sure we all want to shake Pochettino's hand what ever happens between now and the end of the season. Bill Nich would be delighted with him.
Our players do not have all this baggage, I'm pleased to say, they just want to win games and must be delighted to find themselves surrounded by such a talented group. These guys are not looking over shoulders for a way to bigger and better times like Modric or Bale or Carrick and Berbatov. They have found themselves in the brightest and most promising squad in England and this is exactly where they want to be.
They just have to keep winning for themselves and for us. Simple!

Even if it goes wrong from here, MP has done us proud, to be feeling nervous and excited after 30 games because we might well win the league is special. We are normally nervous cause we might, with a good run, get 4th - to be shooting so high is a joy and a nightmare at the same time.

Spooky that today is also the birthday of Pochettino, Toby and ... Arry (Spurs/Spanner links) .
Auspicious signs indeed for Spurta to go to war.

Aren't the statues of the Spammers World cup winners? Hurst, Peters and Moore? If so, no Spurs fan would deface a statue of Martin Peters so they must be worried that the large crowd, some 30,000 more than they normally get, might provide cover for the their Pikey element to pull up in a pick-up truck and half-inch the bronzes. I know commodity prices are a bit low but you can still turn a few quid for a nice bit of bronze.

I'm sorry guys. As much as I also hate West Ham, There is no difference in calling them by the P word and them being anti-Semitic towards us.

It is meant in the same light hearted manner as Chavs and Goons. The last time i was at The Boleyn Ground there was one of their fans in the adjacent stand wearing a big gold chain and bright pink shirt and all the Spurs fans started singing 'who's the Pikey in the Pink'. The guy was not offended, he was laughing, smiling and waving. One of his mates lifed him onto his shoulders to make him stand out more.

I don't get offended being called a Yid of a spud, it's confirming you belong to a certain tribe. I also don;t get offended being called a Muzungo in the Congo or Opporto in Sierra Leone (both mean 'whiteman').

Personally I think that there is too much political correctness around name calling, Providing one is not racist, sexist or homophobic, then a tribal quip is a bit of banter. Clearly the same words could be used in an aggressive manner by certain pond-life but to me banter is banter and banter should not be banned because of a few ignorant individuals.

If I offended you B&W, you have my appologies, but no offence was intended.

I think these days we are taught to be offended tbh.

Things that people wouldn't have given 2 ****s about 30 years ago, are suddenly complete outrages, because we've been taught that it's our right to react in such a manner.

People in this country have been completely indoctrinated with what their 'rights' are, and what they can and can't say or do, and what they should and shouldn't take offence at.

    Pathetic really.

Never seen the Gold Rush program. However, imagine a prison surrounded by high fences with razor wire, police with guns who are paid so little they would not put their life on the line for you, security who's sole purpose is to let their mates in a rip you off, a small restaurent and bar, a few hundred pre-fab huts and tents for accomodation. To top that a couple of hundred barbeques and an aroma of burning charcoal. Out side of the wire there are two vehicle workshops, helicopter hanger and landing pad, a big ****-off hole in the ground (Pit) and a tailings management facility (Tailings Dam) and another camp for junior staff. Many villages spring up around the mine built from stuff stolen from us. If Gold Rush was anything like that then yes Inda.

Couldn't be further away from that. Alaska, not even a padlock, strip mined, frozen pay-dirt, nice caravans, families on site...
