Re the other match I posted on their board 0-0 or 1-1 or a 0-1 City. So far as it stands Chelsea are a s many in front of us as they are behind Man U. Come on City.
It had to be donkey Carroll against us, didn't it! He can't score against any other team in the EPL, but he scores against us! Pathetic!
Nice to see football having such a comprehensive victory against hoofball. I thought they'd put in a better performance than that, to be honest. Can we buy Carroll in January please, just so that we don't have to face him again? It was like Kevin bloody Davies all over again.
Well we stopped the rot but at 3-0 I wanted a fourth but they scored so I'm not so confident that the blip is completely over. 4-0 and it would have been. Chelsea almost lost it at the death so hopefully their luck has run out at last. Not a bad result for Chelsea actually and the concession took the shine off it for us. Well done Defoe. As hammers had a mediocre draw against Stoke and a loss today that could be Allardyce's fade away cue.
Not often you can say that a 3-1 scoreline flattered the visitors, but it did. 4-0 would have probably been a better reflection of the game! NB BBC stats show 10 shots to them, 6 on target. I certainly don't remember that many!
I thought that was right PNP because Dempsey was having a decent game and didn't want any damage to his confidence by being subbed. This game has probably done him the world of good.
I think that was actually a really good performance for us, nice to see us being able to play well in the second half for a change! For once Dempsey turned up and was perhaps unlucky not to get a goal, had 2 or 3 good chances. While we were flat and lacked penetration and had a poor tempo in the first half we seemed to really step it up in the second. We rarely looked seriously threatened at the back and IMO were unlucky to concede after what appeared to be a communication error between Lloris and Caulker. Conceding the goal takes the gloss off the performance a little but we can still take an awful lot of positives from this result. I think we can really push onwards from here. Dembele should be back permanently now for us (he immediately came on and took West Ham players on and went past them, which was excellent to see) and we look like we might finally be clicking. Lloris is bedded in and looks very comfortable. I know we've lost Sandro today but with any luck it won't be for any great length of time, it was hard to see what was wrong with him because my stream quality wasn't great but there wasn't too much in the tackle as far as I could see. Onwards and upwards from here for me. I'm really encouraged by that second half.
How did Spurs perform overall? Our front line connect? Did Dempsey have a really good game? Were we dominant throughout the 90 or just for 60-70 minutes? How did the backline perform and did the attitude of the players become negative during the last 15 minutes? Was their goal avoidable or an excellent header by Carrol? I'm hoping this is the start of our revival. Whilst the the next 3 games will be challenging, all of the next 10 PL games Spurs have are realistically winnable. Lets hope we can get a good 6-8 wins.
I've just come from our fixtures page Lotak and felt exactly the same thing. I feel much more confident about the Liverpool match now. A good win on Wednesday and we will certainly go forward in the next matches.
