This is where you need width on both wings - WBA are packing the defence and we're trying to play through it? Unwise. Need to pick up the pace in the second half - WBA played 2 days ago - we've had an additional day's rest and so they should tire before us. Let's play to that and make 'em run.
Did Defoe do anything in that half? The way the game's gone doesn't really suit him, but he's hardly forcing his way into the first XI, is he?
If we cannot beat WBA we don't even deserve 4th, let alone 3rd. This side is more negative than 'Pool were. They are not going to score. The only question is, can we beat 11 goalkeepers?
