or PNP....i didnt enjoy it first time around..i was expecting a flag to go up or a sinkhole to appear..plus was too busy screaming.
Wow... From nearly eating my own tongue at 88mins I think most of Walthamstow would have heard the outpour as Son flicked that in. Thought Watford were really good at 10 men, thought we were gonna Spurs it up but maybe this Spurs think there's no echo of glory in failure! Up to 3rd!! COYS!!!!!!
What a struggle that was, barely created a chance of note against the 10 men, but we found a way to win and in the end thats all we needed. Not sure anyone played well, thought Rose was particularly poor.
Which is weirder, that we're third and three points off the top or that we're above City on goal difference?
In this Christmas period I'm not so interested in the performances - we got 9/9 so can now enjoy a normal period now till next Sunday
"time to go and do some Juju on Arsenal." I believe the magic incantation is : We have so many world class players in our side. This will be a walkover.
First thing's first: What a twatty club Watford are nowadays. Dirty, diving, bitching players and the crowd either just as dirty and whiney or just don't know anything about football. Booing for ten minutes after a player gets sent off for going studs-up into a player's thigh nowhere near the ball?! They were lucky to end up with 10 for all their bollocks. Bloody awful for the entire period after the sending off apart from the 10 seconds where we scored. This is the sort of thing that baffles me about football: About half-way through the second half when we need a goal we get a throw in quite far up the pitch, players are forward and what do we do? Play a short, quick throw which goes backwards and ends up with our CB within a couple of seconds. Then, later, we've managed to score and then have a free kick midway into our own half. We're winning against 10 men and there are four minutes left. What happens? Everyone pushes up and Lloris boots it long. We don't see any meaningful possession for the entirety of the rest of the game. There's no question that the decision for Lloris to punt the ball forward was Poch's - it was right in front of the dugout. Just weird. On our second goal - technically should have been given offside since Son is clearly influencing the play by making Gomes have to come and punch BUT 1) **** it - those whining bitches deserved something to actually moan about and 2) If Alli gets booked for winning the ball cleanly but making contact on the follow-through then really Gomes should have been sent off and us awarded a penalty when he hooks the ball away from Son in the first place and ends up with his fist and arm around Son's head.* *Of course it would be absurd but just slightly exaggerating the wonky logic behind Alli's early booking.

+3 points for the team = + 20 points for the manager's IQ. Their obvious strength, long balls to strong and talented strikers, matched up well with our obvious weakness, which is Vertonghen dealing with long high balls. Playing Dier farther back did look very clever of Pochettino, but it still didn't work, largely because of Ighalo's quality. That we got the win anyway was due to Trippier's cross and Son's attacking ability. I think we need to find a way to start Son, as he is our leader in goals + assists per minute. But who should make way? It may be that Dembele is out for a bit, though that would require Alli to play farther back, which isn't ideal. Since Pochettino moves players around freely, I wonder if he might try Lamela deeper. He has the toughness and the ability to send players clear in on goal. Not a great performance, but very nice to see big moments from Lamela, Son and Trippier
Well done Tom Carroll for not making more of the hand in the face. Many other players would have rolled around the floor clutching their head trying to get the opponent sent off. We are however better than that, and you can hardly criticise others for doing it and then want your own team to. However, people have been sent off for such, and I think I caught a shot of Carroll with blood coming out his nose and suspect the hand might well have been intentional.
Thank goodness we beat them. Their fans were the most odious bunch I have come across this season. Moaning and screaming all the time. I'm not a fan of how Watford has been run these past few years and I am even less enthused after today. If it wasn't for the fact this ground is the closest to where I live, then I would quite happily see them relegated. Having said that, they made it difficult for us and although we were good at times, we looked ordinary at others. I wasn't surprised at Poch's team selection, he always tries to rotate his full backs when games are close together. After a heavy schedule and an equally heavy schedule to come, the result was more important than the performance, and in fairness, the players do look well up for this. Poch's record over the past 6 or 7 games cannot be faulted really, and if he can get this team to replicate this in the next 6 or 7, then we have a real chance of success this season.
What's wrong with how they are run? Do you mean the manager merry go round or is there something else? Agree with the crowd today...there's partisan then there's bratish twats
