They say the Tamworth pitch was like the Tottenham Marshes when Spurs strarted playing yonks ago.True or false?
So Liverpool the Thursday, Villa I assume the Sunday. They haven’t made it easy for us this season. Tough few days!
False. It was a perfectly fine surface, albeit a rather firm plastic one. Pretty sure we've got a very similar one at the training ground, though I think it's indoors.
..and it's under cover. Trust me, I've been to enough of them and they are a nightmare if you don't play on them all the time. No excuse for a professional though....
According to the BBC, away to Liverpool on Thurs and then away to Villa on Saturday. Surely this week be rescheduled as I thought they had to allow 3 days between fixtures?
Yeah. They will just have all games showing as 3pm Saturday at the moment as none will have been moved yet.
Tamworth lost out on an estimated £850k from the rule change of no replays. That’s half a year’s income at least. If any PL team had lost out to this extent from a rule change, there’d be uproar. The smaller clubs have been shafted by this. It will be even harder for them to climb the pyramid. Aside from the financial cost, Tamworth have been denied the chance of watching their team play at a huge modern stadium - an experience unlikely be repeated any time soon.
