  2. AVB was quoted saying that Benny was a still a way off returning, so no real surprise. Disappointing though.
Still positive that we will get a result tomorrow and recover get 4th back. (He said - nervously!!)

Best Match thread I've seen ever, here's hoping the boys will put right that awful performance first half against Norwich tomorrow! I'm going for a 2-1 win to the Mighty Swans, another London win would be the fourth, man that would be great! ..............<cheers>

    West Ham

    Arsenal

    QPR

Spurs??............... Come on you Swans, get in there, there's a record to be smashed!........................

    cheers again 6061 <ok>

I'm going for a 2-1 home win. I expect a really good open game of football but I don't think the win will be by any means convincing. nail biting stuff again, although i think we'll see a much better finale to the game in terms or our "final 10 mins".

    Goals from Defoe and Lennon.

I also think that Sandro will keep Michu quiet today by not giving him any time or space.

  5. Hope so, but on current form that's easier said than done, Roo!!
Agree with score however - think Ade might find the net again today.

True, but look at the flip side and think about Sandro's form too! Arguably the best defensive midfielder in the premiership this season.

agree, I think Ade might find the net. I originally put 3-1; the same scoreline as last season. But I decided to go slightly safer ;)

  7. Just upped the ante and predicted 3-1 - Oh, the year of living dangerously!!!! Lol

Also make mention of a very interesting article on Spurs keeper scenario in the Sunday Times online today. In fact thee are some really good sports journo articles in that edition - including the comedy piece of the day with Fat Sam indicating that the Spammers can be 'mega in Europe'......

Looking forward to having Parker back I have to say, I can't help but think that if Parker comes on in the last 15 to close the game out rather than Hudd then we'll look far more solid defensively. I still think Sandro is the man to be starting as he offers a more complete game than Parker but he's a great option to have off the bench and obviously a more than able replacement if Sandro need a rest or gets injured.

    Lloris
    Walker - Caulker - Dawson - Vertonghen
    Sandro - Dembele
    Lennon - Adebayor - Dempsey
    Defoe

I'd like to see Sig come back and haunt Swansea but I'm not sure its going to happen! Hopefully as I said we'll see Parker at some point as well. I'm not great at predictions but I think we'll either win by 2 or lose by 1, if I had to stick my neck out I'd go for 3-1 Spurs. Defoe, Ade and Sig for us and Michu for the Swans.

    COYS!

Lloris, Walker, Gallas, Vertonghen, Naughton, Lennon, Sandro, Dembele, Dempsey, Adebayor, Defoe

Bench: Friedel, Caulker, Parker, Livermore, Huddlestone, Townsend, Sigurdsson

    seriously, Gallas over Caulker? FFS.

we've got bugger all offensive "impact" players on the bench.

    Great to see Parker though

If we lose, my mother will suddenly remember she's from Swansea and become predictably unbearable for the rest of the afternoon...

Lloris; Walker, Gallas, Vertonghen, Naughton; Lennon, Sandro, Dembele, Dempsey; Adebayor, Defoe
Friedel, Caulker, Huddlestone, Livermore, Parker, Townsend, Sigurdsson

So much for the BBC's assertion we'd use the same starting line-up from the Everton game...

I was amazed at the 50:50 possession stat that sky showed earlier. I've barely seen Swansea touch the ball.

We've got to get one like I say. We've dominated this far too much already. 1 could easily lead to 3 or 4 if the football continues like this. Swansea look very flat. Need to take advantage.
