Time to shut the game down, one nil to the Tottenham doesn't really ring does it?

We're being wasteful with our chances, again.
Adebayor tests the keeper with a solo effort and Pav hits one wide.

Bendtner sends a half-decent chance sprawling wide, much to Tony Gale's disgust.

Rose on for van der Vaart.
Big round of applause for the Dutchman.
Poor in the first half, excellent in the second.

    Game over.
    1-0.
    That'll do nicely.

Widemen? We don't need no stinking widemen. <grr>

Well played Spurs - good value for the win although I thought in the last 10 min we might have stolen a point.

1-0, clean sheet - taken maximum advantage of Chelsea's draw yesterday.

With Bale/Lennon out along with our backup forward in Defoe, it was always gonna be a struggle - to see us come through it and gain 3 points is great news.

Let's hope we can get those 3 back for Thursday and we can go into the Chelsea game full of confidence - COYS :D

looking pretty..well done lads for what seems like a very hard fought win...never easy against sunderland really is it...but i thought we had the chances again to put it to bed..but the strikers were forever wasteful...i wish modric would shoot more instead of looking to walk it in or to play that final pass when the shot is on.

all in all ill take that..the table looks pretty..we got to win that game in hand and we are potentially 2 points off the top!

    Well said about Sandro, Pat.
His partnership with Parker reminded me of how the Brazilian worked with Palacios against Milan, at times.
Their hard work and grit put the Sunderland players under pressure whenever they came forward in the second half, which resulted in them either losing the ball or going into retreat.

Redknapp's got a lot of options available to him when everyone's fit, but we might need to work on a few different systems to get the best out of variations in personnel.
