We'd tried contacting Sunderland and Spurs but no luck for whatever reason, probably leave it now. Thanks though. Never usually miss out on a trip to the North East, I love it, but I guess I'll have to wait for Newcastle away. Might be for the best, we'd have been reliant on the trains and metro (traveling in via Newcastle) so the GNR would have caused us a right ball ache.
Nice to see he can score into an open goal, which is more than can be said about our mercurial Spaniard... Also is it me or does he have a peculiar way of running? Is there something of the Chimbonda about him or is it just the camera angle?
I'm a Geordie mate. Not going to this match and taking the kids to Beamish Adventure for the day instead. Like you said, it's a nightmare for us from Tyneside to get to the match when the GNR is on.
Eriksen is still injured curious they haven't given a timeline on his return, also Dembele is injured. I am surmising that we will start with Bentaleb & Mason in m/f- would like to see full debut for Son though. Otherwise the rest will be unchanged from the Everton game.
Morning lads looking forward to seeing the new arrivals in a spurs shirt hopefully a spurs win. The weekend started well with chelski getting beat again .hopefully kaboul can set up kane for a couple of goals . Any links for the game would be appreciated. COYS
Lloris Walker Toby Jan Davies Dier Mason Son Alli Chadli Kane I like the look of that. I think Alli will do well against a frankly shocking defence. But massively concerning that we don't have a single attacking player of note on the bench if we're chasing a goal. Not happy. Where the heck is Njie?
Why is Rose on the bench? Should either be starting or not in the 18, if he's not fit enough to play. Looks like Son's on the left and Chadli's on the right, going by the twitter lineup. Not sure that's the right way round.
This is a bit of a new look Spurs, very exciting. It looks like a more mobile faster team. Here's hoping!
Even though Son was listed on the left, he had played on the right early in his career, and I believe was switched to the left to accommodate someone. He looked almost equally good on both sides, perhaps a little better on the right, to me. I would guess it’s Chadli on the left, Son on the right. For that matter, they could be in any combination, really, except maybe Alli on the left, since both Chadli and Son have played every spot in the attacking three. No number 10 I don’t like. I would have rather started Bentaleb with Dier, and Mason with Chadli and either Alli or Son. I also don’t understand why Rose is on the bench but not starting. I can only hope it’s precautionary. Another possibility is that he’s being saved for Carry On Bag, though that makes no sense whatsoever. Not having Pritchard on the bench doesn’t seem like a good idea either. He scored quite a few last year, and is what attacking option we have if we need a goal late. COYS!
I've backed Sunderland for this not because I expect them to win necessarily but looking at the two line-ups and with Sunderland at home I don't see any justification for you being odds-on. Saying that, not sure how you didn't just get a penalty
the last time we faced a team with Kaboul and Defoe against us was v pompey in the 2 from 8 season...we lost that one 2 nil ... not that I am tempting fate but ...
The difference being that team was all over the place. Today, we just need a goal to settle down a bit.
