Oh that one, there was nothing in it. When you slide your studs are up. If you slide with your studs pointing down you break your leg. It wasn't particularly high.

Stop being all face palmy and whiney. The only thing you can really complain about is a borderline penalty that could have just as easily been given as a foul the other way.

Borini got booked for a nothing foul - Vertonghen got booked for a foul 10 times worse (not saying Vertonghen was a definite red but if Borini's was a yellow then it certainly was in context) Mason was almost identical to one Seb Larsson put in against Man City a couple of seasons ago - it was nasty - but the difference is we admitted he was lucky to stay on the field - the "i can do no wrong brigade" of Spurs seem to have a different airing - glad he's injured by the way personally - you put in dirty tackles you deserve an injury

I agree that Borini should not have been booked. Not after 2 pretty tame challenges. You usually get 3 or 4 of them before you get pulled up for persistent infringement.
Vertonghen can be a nasty bugger, i'm not sure which one you are talking about though, must've missed it.

Responding in kind pal. You do know more people than you have made comments on this thread?

    How childish.

His yellow - it was borderline red (quite early in the game) but probably not quite there! Harry Kane committed 4 fouls and 2 dives and didn;t even get a "1 more" from the ref! Was a very one sided referee - how you could say Defoe fouled the defender is beyond me - he turned him and the defender grabbed his arm? Rose tints are on special in London!

Borini's booking was for a tackle from behind, not for persistent fouling

Ah yes, that was a yellow. I would not say borderline red, otherwise half the teams would be ending with 9 each game. I think there is a certain amount of sour grapes from up north to go with the rose tinted specs from down south tbh

I think the rules are wrong. Whoever gets to the ball first has the right of way. If there’s a dangerous collision, it’s the fault of whoever got there second. It’s up to that player to realize he won’t get there first, and pull out. Simple.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s holding the residents of a city hostage to the Daisy Duke crowd. Has anyone ever had a vote on this?

We’ve refused to get right sided players, and frozen out or loaned out those we have. Lamela drew the short straw and switched to the right without looking very comfortable there. No wonder, when he doesn’t have a right foot. I hope now that we have Son Lamela will play on the left or in the center.

So being a mod means you can't be childish? I doubt my suit has enough starch for your liking either...

Lost all credibility? Then be a grammer nazi.

    Ce
Defoe had a handful of the defenders shirt before he had his arm held for just a moment. He didn't go to ground because he knew he would be risking a caution. It seems the ref saw it that way. If the ref was so one-sided why didn't he award us a penalty for the blatant check on Walker?

    That sums it up nicely.

Good luck this season, by the way.
