0-0 HT. Poor. Loads of the ball, but not creating nearly enough chances. The changes seem to have cost us a lot of our fluency today, unfortunately. Hopefully we'll come out rejuvenated after the break, as we did against Chelsea.
It was so obvious this would be a really tough game and nothing like the previous matches against them. It’s a very Spursyesque performance. Hopefully we can have a better second half like a lot of matches this season.
Not a great first half but we should still be in front. Son and Eriksen have been wasteful today whilst Kane and Alli have been very good but the chances have been going to the wrong players. Stoke fans are ****s but I'm going to miss them if they go down.
Well, that was pretty uneventful. It's almost as though Kane coming back has upset our rhythm. I hope Poch made plenty of notes that half, because he's going to need to mix things up in the second.
Why Poch rotated so much I have no idea. Rose still off the pace. Aurier still can’t cross for ****. Wanyama doesn’t have the same passing range as Dier. Kane isn’t match fit to be starting. Add in that Eriksen is having a mare and it’s made for somewhat of a very poor half of football. Alli playing well, causing them problems and linking play nicely. Jan and Dave solid.
Watching those Aurier 'crosses' again, I don't think he had any idea what or who he was aiming for - and in each case he could have run into the 6 yard box on each occasion. Lacks so much in his game at the moment.
That was a very very tepid first half by Spurs. Just continous sideways and backward passing. This is a must win game and i hope Poch is rollicking them at HT. Eriksen , Son and Kane have been sloppy in posession, Aurier and Rose poor. Vertonghen making the game look easy as usual and Sanchez has been very good again. Credit to Stoke who have been right in our faces but they will surely tire leaving more spaces. Massive second half coming up.
Not far wrong. All I can see is a pretty Rwandese filly who is half way through her second 200 ml bottle of Waragi, ref: Rival watch yesterday.
Surely the obvious change is to get Lucas on running at Pieters...... That's a red card waiting to happen. Just not sure how we accommodate that with the current team out there. Who would we take off?
