But PNP, he is happy with these options, he said he is happy to have players that operate from different areas of the pitch so we don't need a high number of strikers, this is his squad, his system.

But as for the game, it depends on if Kane was injured regarding the change there, but again in his mind, I'm sure he believes Chadli can operate as a striker.

Fans making excuses for the guy need to remember Pochettino is happy with the players at the club and happy as to how the club operates in the transfer market.

He isn't part of the managers plans, if the manager wanted him, he would still be in the squad.

If Poch is honestly happy with the squad and he's not simply saying the right things in public to please the little bald Rottweiler, I'm seriously worried!

I don't think that he is happy with his options, but he can hardly come out and say that we're ****ed up front. Not good for morale, if nothing else.
A manager that openly questions the board isn't going to last very long.

Kane was injured. He had an icepack on his calf.

Do you seriously believe that he's totally happy with just one striker?

Poch is very good at telling the press he's happy, whilst getting rid of players. He plays the media game smartly. Unlike some.

If true, that would suggest to us having a yes man at the club, if he isn't happy, speak up, otherwise I have no respect for him as a manager.

Exactly, you think the likes of LVG, The Smug One or even The Whinger would suggests they're happy with a squad that flimsy?

Pochettino is happy with one main striker and then players that operate from attacking positions that can slot in as striker. You and others are bending over backwards to make excuses for the guy, but I'm telling you now, he is out of his depth.

But as for Lennon, Pochettino allowed him to go on loan to Everton last season, he never wanted him in the squad.

What's the point in talking about it publicly? It'll undermine the mood in the squad, upset the board and unnerve the fans.
Talking about it to the people that can actually do something about it is far more important.

We need transfers and we need them soon. We also need to sort out our poxy preparations for the season, as they were **** this season.
Our post-season ****ing about was ridiculous and our pre-season was virtually non-existent, then too much at the death.
Very poor stuff and that's before the slow transfers is even mentioned.

What the hell is alderweireld doing giving away a penalty there for, I don't think you can blame the manager for that, its just pure incompetence.

You're making assumptions here about my issue with Pochettino, as I view Pochettino and AVB as yes men, managers that are employed to work within a system and they lack the experience to speak up. Speaking up doesn't mean come out to the press and blast the chairman at every occasion, more so speak up to the owners (or chairmain), or Dof.

BUT, Pochettino was happy to be manager under this system, there are no excuses for the guy, no way out if the team under performs, as he represents how this club want to operate, so this squad is being assembled as they have a manager that is happy to manage under this system.

You and others may prefer to slate Levy and I share some of them frustrations, but for me, Pochettino is being excused as he is young and isn't being "backed", yet he is out of his depth and I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise.

He did say that they'll bring in another striker Boss. I'm not sure when he said he only wants one.

I make no excuses nor bend backwards. I'm just saying that the witch hunt should go beyond just him as a manager.

I'm sure if he had his way he would have all of the signings done before the season starts, and wouldn't be doing all manor of overseas tournaments.

    He's working with the club.

Sure LockStock, the club have to look at how they operate, how they recruit. No witch hunt, I understand a manager has to work with the club, but again that comes back to Pochettino signing up for this system and if he was passionate about needing a DM or an extra Striker, that should have happened by now and a more experienced manager I believe would have ensured that happened.

Disappointed to see Lennon pushed out of the club but again if the manager wanted him to stay, I'm sure he would he, same with Adebayor, if the manager want him to play a part, he would be here.

  15. Lamela is an Argentine, same as Poch.

    It's Benitez/Torres all over again.

That said, I do believe that Poch (and the Club) is right to give Lamela this chance, because he cost us a lot of money. That said, time has got to be fast running out for him, and I cannot see Poch risking his own career should he reach that point where he knows that it simply isn't going to work.

  16. On the plus side, boys, we are still above Arsenal, if only for a few more hours.

I wouldn't assume they will beat Palace tomorrow. And if Chelsea take a beating at City they will both be below us, despite our start.

This is where we could do with humbling ourselves as fans or indeed as a club and especially Levy by sometimes accepting that someone like Cabaye is not past it and beneath us due to him having no sell on value etc etc. Or even have bucked the trend and tried to sign someone like Alex Song instead of thinking it has to be Schneiderlin or nobody.

someone like Lucas from Liverpool could do a job with his experience.....yes admittedly its not a fashionable name, the next big thing or a massive money signing....but someone with midfield experience and leadership qualities.

  19. Indeed, SD.

It's always a good thing to keep a healthy sense of perspective.

Also, do any of us expect any of the current top 4 to be there, at the end of the season.
    (No wumming, please!)
