I do get your point but iirc he tripped the Everton geezer from behind, who then got his studs caught in the ground as he collided with Aurier.
Any other day he takes a booking for the team and the game goes on but on that day it caused a horrendous accident...just think it may have played on his mind, which is understandable.

Not saying we should have let him dance through but playing devils advocate if burnley had done that to son we'd have been denied a great great goal!!!

The penalty was correctly given, in my opinion.
The keeper's thigh catches Son's foot, which puts him off balance:

Then he sexually harasses him on the way past:

That's not what they mean by trying to play the ball, mate.

If Son would have fouled him , we would not have won. They were playing better than us and would have scored later and we would not have had the time to turn it around. We only started playing once they went 2-1 up.

    Yeah agree.

This is what Ramos is the master at and why he’s one of my favourite players, as well as - in my opinion - the best captain in football right now. If Ramos notices an opposition player has the ability to either create or score a goal, you can 100% guarantee Ramos will have no issue pulling their shirt or tripping them up and taking the yellow (or red if the situation is desperate). Smart tactical fouls. It’s a dark art don’t get me wrong and I understand those that may not like it but there’s a reason Real Madrid have been so successful, a large part of it was having Ronaldo, another part is having such a phenomenal captain and leader who puts the team above personal glory.

**** performance until the subs, but I have to put that down to Mourinho getting it wrong tactically.
The three at the back with wingbacks and no striker just resulted in our midfield being overrun and no outball.
It took the manager far too long to change things.

I hope that Ward-Prowse's injury isn't as bad as it looked.
He's a very talented player and it would be a real shame to see him out for a long period.

He's been sent off more times than our whole ****ing team, though! <laugh>
Imagine if he didn't play for Real Madrid and Spain. He'd be banned more often than not.

I got the feeling from what I saw on TV that it dawned on Jan tonight when he was subbed that he is on the decline...just a feeling I got from his body language when he was subbed and on the bench that he was quite upset at the reality.

If so, I tend to agree with him unfortunately, love the guy though...can remember when we were linked with him and he was desperate to join

    Hope I’m wrong

From where I sit in south, it looked a definite penalty. Son had control of the ball and knocked it passed Gunn. He only had a tap in. There was no reason to go down without a foul.
Now , I have seen that clip, I haven't changed my mind . On the way home they were saying on the radio that it was soft and he started falling before the contact. Can't see it. One can see in the first clip that Gunn has a tug on Son's shorts- you can see them being stretched.

<laugh> It’s true that from the outset stats make him look like a terrible player but if you watch him he’s so smart, if also so dirty (for often the right reasons). I’d happily have him at Spurs, even if he did pick up two or three reds a season, players wouldn’t be able to down tools like they’ve done this season with him in the changing room.

No-one can say with certainty what was on Son's mind at the time. That little passage of play just looked wrong from where I was. His generally demeanour seemed to be lacking all game.
However, I fully understand your point of view and he is of course human.

Not seen any highights...just got in ... but I was in the corner of the wall in the 4th row and it looked a certain penalty from there.
Bit confused...very happy...but confused how it was a penalty if he dived with VAR.

Completely seperately...was in the 4th row...am struggling to stand as my back is ****ed and the teenbeast is getting physiotherapy for a knee problem so my mate asked three guys in the 3rd row if they could sit...no one standing in front of them.

I picked the front rows in the corner for this reason as no one was standing there on previous visits...yet the arseholes got all moody ... moaning about not real fans spoiling it .

I never pull the age thing but the ****wits were swimming around in their dad's ball bags when I entered my 2nd decade of going to spurs...the ****wits didn't even know the words to "come on you spurs", kept turning around as we sung ourself hoarse and then ****ed off before the end of the match.

Didn't ask them to sit down during attacks etc and when I am in the middle of the wall would never ask people to sit.

I hear people moaning about "plastics" when they have no ****ing idea...the pricks booed at half time and spent most of the match screaming "break his legs" every time Southampton had a break.
These are the same pricks who moan at people taking photos and videos during the game...I do it and send it to my uni kid and show one of the kids I work with who is a spur...so maybe they should wind their ****ing necks in and learn the words to the songs instead of acting like some kind of green street wannabe twathead...

    Back pain induced rant over...

“I have to be honest – I think the best team lost,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “The best team on the pitch lost, but the team with more heart, the team where the players went to their limits won, so we deserved to win''.
