    Press conference:

Lo Celso is a doubt. <doh> Never plays him anyway, so who cares?

Edit now I've watched the whole thing:
    He still doesn't get it.

Nor should he get it. His job is to maximise the chance of winning matches.

The glass Argie ( thanks Dier Hard ) is out again , on his day a decent player but can't play 90 mins or 2 consecutive games , we have to give him the Spanish Archer this summer

I’m here everyday, Alfie! *Unfortunately for you lot*

Like I said a few posts up though, joined us injured, leaves us injured. Fitting end for his total contribution to us in 5 years.

Ironically same applies to Sessegnon too.

If I can easily "web scrape" the physio watch sites and
starting XIs from match reports, we can get a true
picture of how much so this is the case for a manager
    and his squad,

    The two aren't mutually exclusive.
Fan rivalries in general and specifically in this case.
Taking responsibility for putting us in that position in the first place would be nice.

That was just an unfortunate outcome. It wasn't his fault Arsenal beat us.
His view on fan rivalries is pretty close to mine...they should never extend to wanting your own team to lose.

The manager is responsible for all of our results. That's his job.
We've lost 12 league games this season. Our form this calendar year is appalling.
He should concentrate on that, rather than the fans, who've backed him enormously.

Well Bentancur wasn't trying to murder a chair, and from a certain angle, I thought Johnson was Deli for a sec. And the kid looks really really young.

IIR , GLC has only completed 90mins 7 times for us , that is good reason alone for getting rid

Part of me is impressed he managed that many.

Would make a good final quiz question for the super football nerds out there:

“What 7 teams did Gio Lo Celso complete 90 mins against as a Tottenham Hotspur player”, you have 60 seconds… GO!

Richarlison has made 21 starts for us this season and we've had 19 matches that he hasn't started.
Our record with him is W:13, D:4, L:4. 62% wins, 19% draws and 19% losses.
Our record without him is: W:7, D:3, L:9. 37% wins, 16% draws and 47% losses.

I don't think that Richarlison's performances for us this season have been amazing.
It's quite clear that having him in the team makes us much, much better, though.
The system needs a proper striker to function and Son isn't it.

Absolutely. You have so have someone making moves in the box. Son wants to hang around on the edge of it, Kulu doesn’t attack the back post, and Johnson and Werner do but they’re inconsistent finishers. Honestly down to see Scarlett start this one.

In those each of those stat blocks, a more complete
'tangible' picture would be provided by having his goal
    scored/assists stats.

On the more 'intangibles' side, you have stuff like :

    - hold-up play
    - winning headers
    - pressing the defence (GK + back line)

    which he does quite well.

Coincidentally, this is why I'm not convinced than Santi Gimenez is the solution as he's arguably a downgrade on Richy in terms of heading and holdup play, as well as not having the degree of ****ehousery

As a Defoe-like striker he does offer something, not least because he has that always-irritating knack for being offside until a fraction of a second before the ball is played through than van Nistelrooy and van Persie somehow always managed to be on the right side of, but how effective is that against busparquet?

Here we are at the last game of another season. If you had offered me this game in August to finish 5th or 6th I would have bitten your hand off. But now we are here its a bit of an anti-climax and our season has drifted to such a disappointing end that I fully expect us to lose tomorrow too and surrender 5th to Chelsea.

But maybe that's just the Spurs fan in me, I would like to be more positive, but our recent form really doesn't suggest anything else, but to be fair neither does theirs and I think that tomorrow will either be goal-fest or a bore draw as both teams limp over the finish line.

Ange did show signs of change on Tuesday, but we do need to start with a centre forward and I like others here see no reason why Scarlett shouldn't get the start tomorrow other than that I would leave the side as it was for City.
