I am as disappointed with this line up as I was for the team against Leicester. Sheff Utd need to come at us and we can catch them on the break and so we play Dembele who slows up every attack and Lamela who has some tricks but not the pace. Moreover there is no place for Lennon who as well as being an ideal 'on the break' player would have provided better defensive cover for Walker than Lamela does. A physical Sheffield side on a cold snowy night - Lamela or Lennon - its not rocket science. Sadly, it looks increasingly like Lennons days at Spurs are over.
What's the link for this "ronaldo7" please - tried the other two streams and are rather jumpy for me.
On the other hand, this is the sort of game that I would utterly hate to see Townsend playing - we need an away goal to kill the tie off, yet he's never going to learn that shooting tamely at the keeper from 20+ yards when the team is putting together a promising attacking move with several better options around him is the sort of thing that makes games far more stressful than they should be.
We are clearly a much better team than them. That doesn't mean we will win though! We will only mess this up if we make mistakes like Vorm did earlier. It would be typical Spurs. Patience is the key tonight and not to panic
How many players did Lamela try to beat then? Overdoing it. Hopeful punt by Mason, too. Troubled the keeper though, admittedly.
