I’ll hold my hands up if Trippier has a blinder tonight, but I see him being targeted by RM. It’s going to need Davies to make some of those wing back runs we’ve seen him make more of this season, otherwise I think centrally we’re going to be bashing our heads against a brick wall, whilst Modric has a field day.

I can't imagine that Poch has been too impressed with Aurier's decision-making thus far. Perhaps Poch feels that Trippier can follow instructions and not make stupid challenges a bit better. Whilst he has been dire on occassions Poch obviously remembers that Trippier made sure that we did not miss Kyle Walker at the end of last season. And Trippier has had some decent games recently too. Long term Aurier could well be the plan. He'd be my choice. But Poch has some serious full-back whispering to do to turn him into more of an out-and-out asset and not a potential liability.
Bit suprised Trippier is starting over Aurier but theres no doubting Trippier is excellent going forward. Winks starting again is a massive fillip for the lad. He deserves it too. Our bench is incredible tonight, thats even with Wanyama and Lamela out. Tonight is what we have been striving for for years - Real Madrid at Wembley in the champions league, Do us proud boys COYS
