Still a chance for 4th, and frankly your next few years is on a knife edge here - No CL football is a disaster, and players will leave.
Just like to say: 1) You were alright, but seemed toothless up front, your biggest threats were from set pieces but we managed to deal with those, albeit, in a panicked way. 2) Referee was a ****er, no offence to you but i'd say Modric, Defoe and your 2 centre backs were the only ones not to dive in the whole game, isn't Parker meant to be all honest and hardman? As for Taarabt no one knew what the **** was happening, even your fans didn't clock, however, it may have been a blessing in disguise for us though as it got the fans angry and turned it into a Chelsea-like atmosphere 3) I have a soft spot for you and would dearly like you to finish above Chelsea but I have to say, last time we faced you, you were possibly the best side to face us this year, and were much less threatening this time round
The test of any management is how they react when things go wrong. I can't see any evidence that Harry and his team have reacted at all. They have had time now to take some kind of action. That means a change, a change of environment or pattern for the players a change to the team, something! When things go wrong it requires that you do SOMETHING to correct what's happening. If they can't change then you need to change them. Over to Levy!
1) It's been the case for all of our games in this bad run, apart from the first one against Arsenal. It happened last season too yet 'Arry hasn't worked out a way to remedy it. 2) Parker was fouled, I'm not sure why you think the others dived, maybe I missed them. Taraabt's sending off was one of those where he was technically correct although it was a soft sending off. I don't think Clattenberg would've sent him off if he'd realised he was already booked but being the inept referee that he is, he didn't even realise he'd booked him. 3) Yeah, we had a lot of injuries this time but that's no excuse for such a performance. Our reserves are worth more than most of your players yet the regulars and the ones that came in were poor against your solid defence.
To be fair to Clattenburg, he made a mistake for the free-kick leading to our goal, so I don't think he was biased, just a useless bastard, too many free-kicks were given when the ball was clearly won, just cos the player fell to the ground
I could be wrong CS, but I don't think that it'll matter, in all honesty. Redknapp won't pick Coulibaly, even if he is eligible.
Yeah, some of them were soft, that's not equivalent to diving though, they were tackled fairly taking the ball and the man.
Hope you get your form back for the last few games. Spurs have always been my second side and spent many years on the left side of the shelf in the 80s singing the Hoddle and Archibald songs except when you played QPR when i was always in the Park Lane away section. Loved Tottenham under Keith Burkinshaw but QPR have always been my no 1 side. Hope you make the champions league
Thank you for your kind words. No offence here, but I thought your team were average tonight. God only knows where that leaves us, but that's for us to sort out. I wish you well for the rest of the season
Hi Spurf - Change of tune or what - you were slagging me off for calling for change- now you want some - hypocrite or what?
As I said when things go wrong something has to change, including me. I was 'slagging you off' for being negative, after today we are all pretty negative so sadly I have to join the club.
H.Redknapp's crisis plan: 1.Stand and look mystified as teams outthink, outfight and outscore us. Underline this by shaking your head and plunging your hands into your pockets. 2.Don't send the boys out for the second half with a flea in their ear, they don't like it! Besides, the fans don't want to see any improvement! 3.Do absolutely nothing until the team is totally mentally crushed, then bring on a totally baffling substitute (try to leave the worst performers on the pitch.) 4. Insist your side played well in the after match interview even if a team 12 places below you gave you a lesson in football. 5 Go home to Sandra and have a light ale. 6. Remember, if you do this right, no matter how **** a job you do, you'll still be favourite to manage your national side...
Fair comments Spurf. To be honest I was drunk and angry with Spurs when I posted this, so I apologise for going OTT.
