Remy's deflected shot goes behind for a corner, followed by another one off Capoue's head.
Caulker misses another free header and that's really lazy and casual from our defence.
An easy win, but we got very complacent at the end.

Very, very good performance overall, but we nearly stopped playing after going 4-0 up.
    A cheap complaint, admittedly! <laugh>

Need to make dramatic changes for the Limassol game on Thursday and save everyone that we can for Liverpool.
Might be problematic with the transfer window's closure coming up and some of our defenders on the way out, but our front players all need to be left out.

    Lamela MOTM. <ok> Fully deserved.

Still a work in progress. Pochettino has the Limassol game as a bonus to play with.
Unsure as to what kind of test we will provide for the Poool next week.

Good to go into the Liverpool match with 6 points because that,s the acid test next Sunday. Slowed in the second half as I think we should have scored a fifth but against London opposition and three old boys against us 4-0 is a good result. Does anybody really want Remy because I don't.

Can we play this way against Liverpool and will Lamela impress? Thats going to be the real test of the team setup as we won't be allowed such freedom.

Awful player. All his previous goals where flukes and no team should sign him based on one game.

I'm not saying anything about next week's match, you all can if you want but beware of egg.

  8. No thanks - although not basing that on one performance today.
We shouldn't underestimate how important Ade is in the style that Poch wants to play. His movement was excellent today and IMO was instrumental in Lamela, Eriksen and Chadli having such good games.

Get Soldado on the score sheet in the PL and with Kane to support, I would rather we kept hold of the cash.

    A graphic of Chadli's 2nd goal:

I think that's every player in the team touching the ball, including the goalkeeper.
Edit: Not sure Adebayor got a touch, actually.

Great result and our best display for some considerable time. Rose looks a whole different player and the quick forward movement is a dellight. We didn't miss Lennon at all and I can't remember when that was last the case

    Well done Spurs & Poch.

Rose was superb. Great to finally have a talented attacking left back.

I'll say something about next Sunday's game: it will be played, and there will be 22 players on the pitch at kick-off...and hopefully none of ours will be doing up their shoelaces or fixing their shin pads when the game has kicked off.

  13. Not his biggest fan (<laugh>) but I thought that Rose had a really good game today. Defensively as well as going forward. Bigger challenges will come against decent opposition, but its a start!

Be daft to sell Bobby Sol at the moment and Ade isn't totally effective but let's see how things go. QPR started the second half with four at the back which was a shrewd move by Harry because had he not done that then more would have been scored and trust Ade to score when things are more difficult. I hope he maintains it.

Does the same apply for Lamela & Chadli? :emoticon-0110-tongu

  16. Watching QPR's dismal showing today it would be difficult to NOT apply......

So it's settled - MOTD will give goal of the month to Wayne Rooney mishitting a cross, but it eludes the goalkeeper and sneaks in off the post.

48 passes leading to the goal, more than double of any scored in the Premier League last season, apparently.
Eric Dier also made history, becoming the first Premier League defender to score in his first two games. Also kept two clean sheets, which is nice.

I posted a few weeks ago that Pocket is a bit like George Graham ie building a team from the back which he has done and two clean sheets PNP.
