That's a joke booking for Romero. Perfectly good interception. No different to what the opponent did - just quicker!

Didn’t seem much in that from Romero tbh

I see that someone called Kane has scored. Surely that must be some other Kane because I thought we'd sold Harry Kane to Citeh.

Decent half against a very limited opposition. Like what I'm seeing of Gil. Works hard and finds space in the pockets - not where I imagined he would focus.
Sess has worked hard but needs something to happen for him.

    I already love Bryan Gil.

Said when we signed him he’ll be a real crowd pleaser. Assist on home debut and some nice link up play. Boy’s gonna be a player in the future, probably near future at that too.

We look so much better without an experimental midfield and with a back 4. No surprises there. Just the small matter of Kane playing too I suppose. Ideally we can take him off on 70 mins and he can start at the weekend. Possibly Romero too, though we may be a bit more careful with him because of the injury recovery.

Gill and Gio and knitting things together nicely and Sess is having a decent, if unspectacular game on the left. Good to see.

Hopefully we keep the foot on the gas second half and put some daylight on the scoresheet.

At the risk of tempting fate, do away goals count. I seem to recall a plan to do away with the rule?

The worst thing about Gil tonight is he's actually making a good argument to sign Traore, because he's looking great playing through the middle

With Gil's miss just now, was it Romero the next player following it in? Good grief!
