1-0 FT. Dreadful performance from a lot of tired-looking players. Barely created anything, got hit on the break and ran out of steam very early on. Dragusin getting injured and Spence getting sent off is just the icing on the cake.
No belief in the team today. Too many experienced players ain't turned up. Son, Solanke, Bentencur, Kuluchevski, all poor. Werner, Porro and Maddison made no impact as subs. Spence sent off and one of his cards was for throwing a ball away. Deserved win for Nuno
23 points from 18 games. Christ… We’re so bad, there’s no way we’ll be competing for any sort of European place. Time to bin the league off (doing enough to avoid relegation obviously) and hope we can win a cup. - which at this point will take a ****ing miracle. it’s a total **** show. Whilst I hate see us lose, part of me is glad it’s finally got this desperate and the fans have somewhat united more over the idea of us not just simply sacking another manager. (Even though results have been bad and he probably deserves it.) I’m just desperate to see what Levy’s next move is.
****ing dreadful to say the least. Far from the first time I’ve said as such this season and I highly doubt it’ll be the last. Hope Ange has some naked pics of Levy otherwise that hammer must be getting closer and closer.
Fed up with this, same old narrative going to be peddled out when we should not be losing this game. Played pretty well, keepers kept them in it, they’ve done bugger all and one of the worst referee performances you’ll ever see. Alone there’s 10 subs but only 5 minutes injury time. Every single dive brought as well. Can’t wait to shove all the crap we get down peoples throats when we start going well again.
Next statement bingo: “We’ll bounce back” “We’ll work hard to put this right” “There’s plenty more left to play for”
One of the situations that needs explicitly clarifying in the Laws. If you plant your foot and the opposing player trips over it, it shouldn't be a foul.
At the end of other defeats I've been quite worked up but as each week ticks by and with it more disappointment, I just feel more and more numb and indifferent to it. I can't really see the way forward tbh, feels like we've rolled every dice apart from the one that really matters and have hit a dead end each time. I'm trying to be optimistic about January but the early rumours are hardly encouraging. Stories like Godfrey and Muani on loan are hardly going to turn our season around. Not sure where we go from here and tbh I don't think the club knows either.
I looked up the goal kick rules the other day after Zirkzee got a goal after being in our box for one and wow, they're a mess. You'd have thought it would be a free-kick, but it's quite hard to tell whether that's the case or not.
No...it's just a different view. If you think they won cos of the ref or think we looked good or deserved to win that's fair enough. I personally thought we had very tired players and out of form players and the performance reflected that.
When we start going well again? Not since the end of Conte’s first season have Spurs been consistent in the league. You might be waiting a while.
I’ve felt the same “disconnection” since we sacked Poch to be honest. You’venailed it regarding the “rolling of the dice” comment. We haven’t got a clue.
Blame the ref if you want but I feel we were simply out muscled all over the park. Apart from the shot from Johnson we never really troubled their keeper, and they could have scored at least 1 more. Their goal was purely down to Udogie for me, he stops! Yes, the Spence red was crap. If he's not booked he gets one, but to give a 2nd for that is poor. Only plus point for me was Bergvall and Gray. Too many had off days and they could have played for days and not score. Ange seriously needs to get players back or I feel he's a goner. Oh and at least Fulham cheered me up...
