I was one of the most anti JM spurs fan I know...and he got my support for longer than this ffs No idea why you'd be anti Conte tbh
I'd put it down to one of two options i.) It's the MouAnon weirdos still kvetching that their god was given the boot ii.) It's the reactionaries looking at how Saltypool or The Sheikh Mansour Team play and are annoyed we're not copying them The former...well for one thing they've had eighteen months to get over it for a start, the latter need to accept that our team is set up from top to bottom to not play like them and, funnily enough, it seems to be getting results even though performances haven't reached the levels of late last season
The question I am now asking myself is whether the final third of last season could be an aberration that Conte did not intend, and what we've seen to date this season is what he really intends.
You’d think Son would up his game now that he’s got real quality in Richarlison fighting for his spot. Instead he seems to have become a bit rattled mentally. Could be wrong but he seems too focused on scoring himself this season so far and has missed many opportunities to make simple passes to better placed teammates…maybe trying too hard to impress and score himself?…I dunno but all in all his head doesn’t seem to be right. I thing Heung Min Dad needs to have a word with him
The crap on line for Richarlison doing a a keepie uppie verses the possible knee wrecking tackle , how that was not a red I do not know
A lot of it comes from defenders doubling up on him this season, so he isn't getting that half yard head start that he's benefitted from so often in the past Realistically it's up to Deki and our WBs to pull defenders away from him to open up that space again, although somebody coming from deep through the middle would certainly be welcome
Correct (you are) . You could see yesterday that his confidence is in a rut. Last season you would expect him to have put the ball in the net at least twice (regardless of offside decisions etc) given those opportunities. It happens (the perennial Kane Augusts etc) . He has to get thru it ASAP.
And the likes of Carragher would have been creaming their knickers if it was Luis Diaz doing the showboating, rather than criticizing it.
That's one thing I always find obnoxious about Brazil: they go 3-0 up against whichever makeweight they're facing in the WC, then start breaking out the tricks and flicks You're already thrashing them, don't belittle them as well
That cross gets better and better with each angle I see. Assist of the season so far for me. Quaresma definitely would've been proud of that.
