Yeah, but it would be a bit hollow now wouldn't it. Let's not forget Lasagne Gate too. You choked on your lunch. I guess we're going to find out - Arsenal play twice now before Spurs do again - Two wins and we're 8 points clear.
so we were looking for 4 points from 6 but we got 1.....really if we did get CL football..what would that mean? that me and you will be frustrated like fuk next year because we cant handle PL and CL football..and we would suffer in the league....we are not ready.
The only 4-0 today - Everton v Sunderland That says it all after Saturday YV - love your optimism but there is nothing that I have seen in the last 72 hours that gives me any hope of turning this around. We were arguably 60 mins away from virtually securing 3rd nearly 2 months ago....... Yes some of the games we played well with nothing to show for it, but we all know that when push came to shove we have not been good enough.
Absolutely. I might have guessed that tosspot would pop his stupid head up if things started to go tits up for us.
Well - That I did not expect. We played for all 95 minutes today and got what we deserved That will hopefully show some of the remaining doubters that we are a decent side despite no previous PL experience. The team has heart and guts and sometimes that is what makes the difference.
I wasn't specifically meaning you Spurs fans, just fans in general Got to worry about what has happened to you guys in the last 4-5 weeks though. You totally battered us at Carrow Road but looked nothing like the same team that day.
I really don't know where to start with today's shambles. I said at the start that 442 would work against Norwich - wrong! Livermore and Modric hardly got a touch in midfield because of their pressing so our wingers only got the ball on the break. That meant they had no support and didn't make enough chances. Saha was useless, Adebayor not much better. Defoe took his goal well but we may as well have had 10 men for the rest of the match. He is so lazy as well, never runs back onside fast enough at set pieces. Both goals were the result of too much space for them in midfield, although the first was comedy defending into the bargain. Only a couple of months ago we could have put pressure on the top two if Defoe had scored in the last minute at City and we've barely got a point since. Same thing happened last year. What should we have done differently. Please don't say 442 or 4411
Yes, we should have done things differently. Try playing with some energy, passion, and poise to start with!!
We should utilised our squad better, PS. We stuck with virtually the same team for the first half of the season, then let a bunch of our squad players leave without replacing them and now we've run out of steam, like we did last season. We don't have suitable back-up for a number of players and we can't use the same system if any one of about 6 people are injured or suspended.
Harry definatly can't handle it - we threw the europa and carling cup and he still doesn't rotate properly and we are still burnt out like last season. If we were in europe as well we would probably be mid table I hate all this emphasis on a CL spot - give me the FA cup anyday. Surely the players want something to show for their careers.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp after his side's defeat to Norwich: "Credit to them as I think they deserved it. We were disappointing. I changed the system to 4-4-2 and we were too open. I thought they bullied us a little bit. It was a difficult day for the boys at the back. It was a bad day but we have to pick ourselves up." ------------------------ We were too open yet didn't change the system. We're running out of games to 'pick ourselves up' and go on a run.
We've said it time and tine gain- Our players are nakered. There's been no rotation all season, resulting in those "fringe" players becoming too rusty. It's now too late to bring them in and expect them to do anything as they've been outcast for too long. If we're lucky enough to make CL football (and yes it will be luck) we will need about 6 top quality players tao we can rotate constantly throughout the season to handle the amount of fixtures. If we dont make CL, I hope we don't make EL either, that was a complete waste of time this season. If you're going to be in a competition, try to win it. If you're going to play the kids, at least give them some game time when you need them. - we could have done with a few of those "fresh" players at times this season.
You are right of course PNP in relation to squad utilisation and the strange transfer/loan policy, but that doesn't fully explain the lethargic performance today and on some other recent occasions. We haven't played more games than our rivals or even the likes of Norwich or Sunderland. We have had injuries and suspensions which have offered the occasional respite. But we still run out of steam in games that you would imagine adrenalin would get you through. I bloody hope that there were no eyes on next weekend, because for me the FAC is not the priority....
I think it's more than that. Whether it's anything to do with this effing Harry for England situation, i don't know. But we seem to be playing without the fire in our belly - that guts and determination you sometimes need when things aren't going your way. When faced with disaster you either stand up and fight, or lay down and die - we seem all too ready to do the latter. Which, i have to say, REALLY Pisses me off!!

Who has said to Arry that we play well 4-4-2 ? Harry if your listening mate, we play better 4-4-1-1. PS krancjar can play where VdV plays, GDS can cover Lennon, Rose can play left wing. Sort it out son.
