It was a car crash of a performance and for me and a number of others on here, it was predictable. If you look at the early posts you can see that nobody was surprised it didn't work. How did we end up doing something so ridiculous?

It makes you wonder about other signings that haven't cut it. Yes, they have to fit in with our patterns of play but what's the point of signing GKN, N'Jie, Vinnie, Llorente, etc and then being disappointed that they've got different skill sets to our existing players. With each performance Llorente is resembling Vinnie.

 

Is what Newport get from the kitty determined by gate
receipts or something else ??

I haven't got a problem with walker Peters but one thing that puzzled me was why didn't verts overlap on the left when he was on yet when he was subbed verts was overlapping all the time was that poch dictating or did verts take it upon himself

 

Dunno to be honest...5 quid for kids and a tenner for adults...think it will be next wednesday do I thi k there could well be 40 plus thousand there. They'll shut the top tier like they did v AFC Wimbledon so it won't look so sparce. Mind you the AFC Wimbledon match had around 60000 there

 

I think that's harsh on Janssen, unfortunately.
I honestly believe that he'd have done better than Llorente has this season, given the same opportunities.
It's bizarre to keep playing people in systems that they clearly don't suit.

So we're up to about five now, I think!
Maybe I'm underestimating things, but I doubt we'll reach the 47,000 that we got against Wimbledon.

Obviously, I didn't express myself clearly. What I meant was....Vinnie wasn't Harry Kane. He's not as good a footballer but maybe a little bit more of a back to goal player who needs the ball to feet rather than into space which Kane sees exceptionally well.

We made zero changes to our patterns of play and Vinnie crashed and burned........and it's happening again. Not many players can replicate Harry Kane. We need to factor that into our treatment of strikers we buy. Thinking about it, we did exactly the same thing to Soldado as well. He wasn't a lone striker, we broke him trying to show that he could be.

 

Will the singing Welshmen out sing our boys? Oh no!!!!!
