The nice thing about this fixture is that it is usually over by the 25th minute, so we can just head out and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
Paul O'Keefe's said van de Ven isn't in the squad so Dragusin will start. He wasn't seen in recent training footage which initially caused some to speculate he may have been injured.
WindyCOYS says that Mickey Van has failed a late fitness test due to playing on with a knock against Everton
Micky Van de Ven injured. Dragusin doesn’t have anywhere near the pace of Micky so this could be a tough afternoon.
Micky needs to start playing more sensibly. Maybe a few sessions with Ledley about how to manage one's body. His speed combined with his size is a disaster waiting to happen. He needs to start understanding this better. For example, that glorious run and pass for our 4th goal against Everton was wonderful and will go down as one of the assists of the season, but it was also entirely unnecessary. The game was done. No need risking a hamstring for the sake of a cherry on top.
I remember Alderweireld pulling his hamstring trying to do what VDV did. Well, time for Dragusin to have a great game and make me look like an idiot. Not that I can't do a fine job of that on my own.
Really it's a huge problem such a vital area of the pitch.. both are made of lead and won't leave the edge of our own box...can't push up ..Halls not that quick and neither are our 3 cms
