Newcastle's original colours were either red & white or red, white & black. It depends on whether you include the pre-United teams that combined to become the current club. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Newcastle_United_F.C.#The_creation_(1881–1895)
Actually that was Newcastle East End which joined forces with Newcastle West end to form Newcastle 'United' due to financial issues. It is ironically this reason why Newcastle is a one club city and all the advantages that brings.
Newcastle United became a thing in 1892 and the colours were still red & white until '94. "One facet of East End's existence remained though. The club, for the time being at any rate, still retained their colours of red and white stripes. The famous black'n'whites striped shirt was not to arrive until 1894." - from NUFC.com, via the club's official historian.
Yes but those were the traditional colours of the east end. Black and white was the traditional colours of the reserve team for the East end. Sunderlands original colours were the same as yours Navy.
It's bad enough having any games starting at 12.30pm, but when the away teams fans have a minimum 4 hour journey ahead of them, this is a disgusting state of affairs. All about pandering to Sky and TV in general. Not a thought for supporters!
By agreeing that your original colours were red and white... I guess this isn't a Saudi kit, either: please log in to view this image
Are you joking ? Have you seen our back 4 our keeper and longstaff in midfield? We have an absolutely abysmal line up mate.
