Not a great first half but thankfully a nice finish from Son sees us up at the break. Newcastle have had more dangerous chances though and will probably say they’re unlucky to be behind. Central midfield been really, really poor for us, Gio especially. Need to go up a gear in the second half otherwise I think Newcastle will smell blood.
Moura's hurt. Took a couple of knocks as he won another tackle. Yedlin replaced for them by Lazaro. Didn't look like he was expecting that.
I’ve been listening to the match on TalkSport, driving back from the office. The Toon had a lot of possession, but that’s due to how Mou sets up his teams. The key for us, under that system, is to make the most of our counterattacks, which we continue to struggle with. Moura and Son sound like they’re a handful, but Kane is hardly getting a mention, apart from when he goes deep. He seems to be struggling to find his place in Mou’s sides.
