This August nonsense is IMHO breeding a touch of the Rooney in Kane. The wins by the team are most important right now, not some coincidental irrelevance. Son will give one game of pure effort before going to Korea.
Interesting all the comments about "if you want to play for Tottenham". I wonder which Belgian that was aimed at?
Here's a few good reasons not to 15th August 17th August 20th August 23rd/4th August 26th/7th August 29th August 1st September If they reach the semi-finals, those are the dates for each of South Korea's games, which is a potential seven matches in sixteen days - and that's before factoring in the travel to and from Indonesia and the nine-hour time difference. If that also happens to look like a reason why we should've brought in somebody capable of covering Son and Harry, it's not a coincidence...
I'm hoping we have a chance to make that decision soon. Of our top attacking players, Kane may be injured, Lamela is definitely injured, Moura looks like he's injured, and Son is off to Asia. Eriksen looks jaded, so it's only Dele who looks at or near the top of his game, despite having no preseason. But I think for Pochettino (and for me, for that matter) Moura is a starter and drops Son to fifth out of four attacking players. Lamela needs to get and stay fit for a while before he can push any of the others. Son can score like few midfielders, but he goes through bad periods when he contributes very little. We can hope Moura is more consistent.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...s-fa-punishment-for-kenedy-newcastle-incident I don't remember any focus on it at the time, but the replay that I've seen looked inconclusive, at best. It was a clumsy move, but I don't think that there was any intent there. Sissoko in a nutshell, really.
Do remember something and thought at the time I was surprised no action taken, but they deserved get something back as they were targeting Sissoko, Kane and Dele from the start.
For a moment I thought he had some kind of head injury that required bandages. Turns out it was just his awful hair...
That offside still pisses me off. So ****ing dumb. What's with the depressed commentator, too? He sounds so sad that we scored!
It's just ignorance of the rules. He's miles in his own half. He's still in it when the ball goes into the other half. Awful.
I think they thought they were clever in noticing there was only 1 defender in front of him, rather than the required 2. The fact that he was 5-10 yards in his own half was missed in their self satisfaction.
