The Pochettino Narrative (TM) on KWP : 1. Did not mean the boy is not ready to play at Spurs senior level, but is not ready to be a regular first choice RB as Walker and Trippier are/were. 2. Wants to avoid pressure being heaped on the boy at this stage.

Thank youSpurs. I thank you,my late mum thanks you and the Good Lord thanks you. Another win next week and we will all walk on water for you.
Not a great performance but 3 points away from home and a great debut by KWP. Son and Wanyama back with Trippier likely to be back next week, we'll improve quickly, I'm sure. Well done to Alli for keeping his cool too, that was nasty.
The rules need to be changed so that any striker who makes a go to the ground tackle gets an instant red. You could not dream of meeting a more dangerous group of players in the tackle.
The curse of the Spurs full-back: Kyle Walker runs away to chase the moolah Kyle Walker-Peters gets MOM on debut Danny Rose whinges about not getting enough moolah Ben Davies scores in his place
Shearer complaining that Shelvey didn't stamp hard enough, then claiming Kane should've gone. Absolute pillock. Goes on to say that Ritchie's intentional, studs up foul from behind wasn't as bad and was a yellow. No wonder he was such a failure of a manager.
Yeah quite right, scissoring somebody's leg and trying to snap their leg is nothing compared to standing (not stamping) on somebody's foot. I think managers have to be able to identify players that will suit the team and get the best out of them not make decisions on foul play. if I am wrong then Collina would have made the best manager ever
It would be nice if you were ever right about any of these things. Just the once, maybe? Probably not though, eh?
I'll bite. There was absolutely no contextual need for Shelvey to have stood on Alli's foot, it was malicious, premeditated, foul play and in order to eradicate this kind of behaviour from the game it warrents the maximum penalty. From a Newcastle perspective, I'd dock the player two weeks wages for sticking them royally in the **** with two big relation showdowns on the horrison. Kane, went for the ball, got it, but got the man too. No complaints with the yellow card. He was in possession of the ball right up to te point the tackle was made, and in a desperate attempt to retain it made a rash tackle. Was it a season ender? Probably not. The other yellow card was laughable though. The kind of tackle a poor player makes on FIFA because he's 8-0 down and can't get near is opponent. Yellow card again fair, but in a different circumstance, could have been much worse.
