Cheers, Chappaz. Newcastle nearly nick a consolation, but Friedel's marvellous save denies them. The rebound's blazed over.
Might have been a different game with Cabaye and Tiote in the side, Chappaz. Painful scoreline, but you'll probably recover quickly. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Agreed, was expecting a tight one today with a 1 goal margin in our favour, hope the Toons bounce back from this.
Saha has been like a breath of fresh air for us. Imagine if we'd had someone like him last season! Harry, tells that you can simply walk away from the best Spurs team since 61/62!
Defoe and Coloccinin having a running spat, for some reason. Penalty claim, then Defoe goes down holding his face from relatively minimal contact. Redknapp tells him not to get involved! "Leave it J, he's not worth it!"
Fantastic performance. Over as a competition within about 20 minutes and we coasted to victory from there. Adebayor was outstanding, our midfield controlled the game and Saha looked lethal. Impressive stuff. Ryan Nelsen's kept more clean sheets in the Premier League this season than Blackburn now, too!
Our biggest win of the season against a top 6 team. Quality. I see that Norwich are closer to Liverpoor (4 points) than Liverpoor are to us (14 points).
Only Luke could mentioned the nomads when Spurs are routing Newcastle. I'm looking forward to our next home game. I'm gonna predict we finally beat Utd.
A truly spectacular performance from the boys! And the home crowd made their feelings known as to where they'd to see Harry, next season
I think it would have. Not only are Tiote and Cabaye far superior players to Guthrie and Perch, but they also have better mindsets. They're winners and they're fighters. Teams need those sorts of players in the side. Your side really are playing superbly though, so even with them in the side I probably would have expected a narrow defeat. When you're away to one of the best sides in the league on top-form sometimes it's simply impossible to win. Can't expect miracles. Nevermind though. We'll dust ourselves off and move on. Cabaye and Tiote will be back soon to work alongside Ba and Cisse which will be much better. PS: I do blame Pardew for such a big defeat today. Playing 4-4-2 away against a superior side and playing such a high line was just asking for trouble.
Nice to have that 10 point gap to 4th with Arsenal at the end of February and a tough march fixture list to come.
Hope Newcastle recover quickly from that defeat, how funny would it be to see Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all miss out on top 4. Big 4 my arse !!!
does this mean im going to have to replace Fulham's junior club with Newcastle and The mickey mouse we support racists club with Norwich, in the 'rival watch' thread?
