A controlled, measured performance will do it. United create very few good chances and score very few goals. They have no natural goalscorers anywhere in the team. Their goalkeeper and defenders will make mistakes. We need to bide our time and choose our moments - we have the quality to hurt them. No need to go all charge of the light brigade - that simply opens the worry that we'll be sucker punched when they turnover possession and our whole back line is out of position.
I’m quite a believer in the law of averages over a season and so I can’t help the little voice in the back of my head saying “you’ve beaten them 3 times out 3 this season, therefore the 4th one’s theirs’”. That said - and I truly believe it - this team is better than Utd’s. Man for man I think there are only two players in Utd’s XI I’d take in ours and that’s Casemiro for Bissouma and Bruno for <whoever plays in the ten> and that’s even if we had Maddison, Kulu or Bergvall fit. I’d say Bruno is the only player on the whole pitch who can make something from nothing, unless of course Ange releases the shackles off of Sonny but I highly doubt that. Amad’s also a massive talent but right now I’m not taking him over Son and whilst Johnson frustrates the life out of me, you cannot deny his stats are extremely good. There’s also the danger of what that Danish Magician can do if he comes off the bench, it’d be a killer if Eriksen ends up being the game changer and he certainly has it in his locker so hopefully Amorim keeps him benched for the 90/120. It’s crazy to think that a single game will determine whether this is the worst season in my lifetime or ends up being one of the best. A single trophy, especially a European one, eclipses the utter shambolic league season. I’ll be celebrating for days/ weeks if we pull it off.
Yeah I’m on phone so maybe it doesn’t update how it displays immediately after I edit it or something.
I had the same issue when using my iPhone to post twitter links. Now I just screenshot photos instead.
You may well be right, but I'm prepared for the worst. If true, Bergvall being available could be a defining factor in our favour.
It's a madness that so many hopes are pinned on a 19 year old with 1 goal and 4 assists to his name, but these are the times we're living in.
If it’s a chaotic game and end to end then expect Harry Maguire to score the winner. That would be awful
Hate to say this but i really expect you to win by 2 goals. We have some good games but most are ****.
I trust we have a phalanx of security guards to make damn sure that not even a trace of lasagne gets into our team hotel today
...aaaaaaaaaaaand the usual section of our fanbase has gone Full Moron again, somehow taking Gareth Bale being at the final as a reason to screech about why Harry Kane isn't That would be the Harry Kane who isn't retired...
For whoever wins, it’s arguable they will have had a better season than their rivals. If Utd win and City finish 6th
