Deserved win for Spurs but the game just showcased how poor both teams are. I’m sure less stubborn managers with better strategies and coaching could do a lot more with both - although there is a huge gap to not just the top teams, but the top six or so generally. Spurs are in a lot healthier state than Utd.
First time Spurs have had consecutive clean sheets since match week 9 of last season. < take small victories where you can >
Strange one that. Despite how poor we are, I felt confident that there was a solid chance of 3 points today. - and that match went exactly how I expected it to. United are basically us, but even worse. They try to play, and just have very little to offer because they’re full of average players. Can’t score/finish chances when they need to, have a midfield that’s easily over run, and a poor defence. That squad needs major surgery. anyway, a decent result and a much needed win. Can’t believe it’s been 15 weeks since we won at home.
Pace and physicality of the premier will take some getting used to for him , he's only had a few starts for Bayern this season , the good thing he was getting into some good positions , give the lad some starts off the bench after Solanke gets back then he can be judged
That win was huge. The season restarts now. A solid run of form from now on and it all starts to look very different. If we happen to meet Man U in the Europa League, we'll have a little more confidence. Let's go!
The stats that Sky showed our dropped points from a winning position, showed how much we needed back up to strengthen our position during those games , hopefully a fitter deeper side will show good
Interesting stat: Ange is the first Spurs manager in Premier League history to do a league double over Man Utd None of Poch, Redknapp, Jol or the rest managed that
Just been catching up on the protest, definitely had some numbers today. Usually there’s only been about 50-100 people on the corner of Park Lane barely making any noise but just with a “Levy Out” banner. From the clips I’ve seen I reckon there’s gotta be a good 1500-2000 that marched down the high road. They were met by a solitary individual who was holding a “Levy In” sign and who I’m beginning to think was @PowerSpurs . Another clip also shows Donna Cullen getting verbally abused and jeered as she entered through the premium area. A few hundred staged a sit-in protest too.
