So you believe the Man Utd player who has smashed into Kanes' instep without touching the ball, is not deserving of retrospective punishment ??
didnt see that part. Yeah he kicks kane with some force. not sure that's a retrospective though or you'll get retrospectives in every match
Well,Red,now we have a team and a half out injured we can just sit down and think...….another "nearly" season gone up in smoke. If we could only make a couple of helpful signings...……...and the rest of our fit players play out of their skins,I wonder...……? COYS!
There were loads of them in block 123 who couldn’t contain themselves when United scored. What was embarrassing for the stewards was they were wearing United shirts, so goodness knows how they were allowed in there in the first place. As one of them was escorted out, he was swigging from a bottle of scotch !!
It's the other leg. Jones' right comes down on Kane's left foot. It's not worthy of retrospective punishment, though.
I think hbic is talking about the other player (dalot?) coming in who takes a swing at it (if you re-watch it). I got caught out as well because the twitter guy was talking about phil jones so i was concentrating on him as well!
I did exactly what you did! Dalot kicks him, but he's swinging at the ball, which gets nudged out of the way. It's two free-kicks for fouls on Kane, but I don't think either's worthy of a red. Nice of Dean to miss the whole ****ing thing, though.
Is there a decent ref anywhere though? Multiple cameras covering every angle makes their job impossible. How can they spot these things in real time from some distance away? And given that football is becoming a non contact sport, it's inevitable they will miss countless "fouls" every game.
Dean's shockingly bad, though. The whole Spurs fan thing seems to have gotten into his head, so he goes the other way. I've been reliably informed about the current state of refs and why they're not applying the laws equally and fairly. They've been told that their job is now about "managing the event", rather than being an adjudicator. People have paid good money to watch this and we don't want anything disrupting that, unless it's entirely necessary. Try to keep all 22 players on the pitch, please. There's a good chap.
Sian Massey gets an astonishing number of offsides spot on when she has to watch the players moving and the player passing the ball yet some refs get blindingly obvious decisions badly wrong when they are only watching the ball. The Kane foul was obvious ... you have to be blind or a moron to miss it as a ref. Some decisions are difficult but that was not.
But if the Pogba assault on Alli merits only a yellow card, how can even a free kick be awarded for the foul on Kane?
I generally agree but anyone can be looking away at the wrong time so the biggest indication of a crap referee is giving fouls that didn't happen. Step forward Mike Dean for the shirt pull by Sanchez on Sanchez last year.
I am sure this is right, Don't give cards too early in the game you will end up having to send players off. Let the game flow. The complete corruption of this immortal quote from our own Danny Blanchflower. "The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Sadly you have to substitute 'The Game is about Glory' to The game is about money. and It is about doing things in a way that creates more drama for our benefactors TV
