We've scored freely without Kane so let's see how we do. Lamela, Llorente, Moura, Eriksen and Dele will have to step up. It's a blow losing Son but let's just see.

Meanwhile, because this match is the gift that just keeps on giving, it's been reported that around thirty Man Utd fans were ejected after getting tickets for the home stands, presumably picking them up from StubHub - and it's certainly worth pointing out there were several Man Utd fans spamming r/coys with ticket requests last week

The club is currently investigating whether one of these thirty was the fan who racially abused Son during the match

Yeah, but I heard on target was straight at de Gea. I don't think you can cope too well without those two players. It puts incredible pressure on you. If we do win this (and I still think it'll be citeh), I'd be sorry if it was based on injuries (or unavailability) of key opposition players.

I stayed at my mate's in Hornsey over the weekend after a meeting in Holborn ob Friday. His local (the Hope and Anchor) is a big spuds pub. They didn't like me either <laugh>

You heard ! OK I saw and that's better. They were mostly straight at him because he was in the right place and he was so quick he managed to get a foot a leg a knee. I don;t think anything should be taken away from a fabulous performance from De Gea.
As for the rest read this from @remembercolinlee

Constant Stadium delays feeding the trolls.
Injuries to Dembele, Wanyama, Lamela, Lloris, Kane, Vertonghen, Dele, Rose, Eriksen, Winks and Dier.
    Lloris convicted of drink driving.
    Aurier suspected of domestic violence.
Constant stories of Pochetinno going to United.
Son away on international duty For a month TWICE <grr>
How the hell are we third?????

They were straight at him because our strikers couldn't place the ball a couple of feet either way of their keeper. half of them shots he didn't have to get anything to them...they hit him...he opened his feet, opened his palms just to increase the surface area...I watched the game too.

If his placement was brilliant...it suggests our placement wasn't...he's not a cat...he's wasn't diving all over the shop...he was static just opening up his palms and feet

    So what was it?
Our players are so stupid they shot at the keeper
Our players are so poor they don't have the skills to avoid the keeper.
Our players are so lazy they couldn't be bothered to make the effort to score.
    What is it?

It just doesn't work does it.
I think the truth is our players busted a gut and ankles and thighs, trying to score and they were so clever they managed to produce 11 shots on target against a strong team set up to defend.

You sitting there and glibly saying their shooting was atrocious deserved to be treated with the contempt that the lack of thought calls for.

AS the insult is not directed at me Spurlock I do not take it so. The insult is to yourself, you are better than that.

You think everything we do is spot on....i very much doubt Poch thinks we don't need finishing practice this week.

Stupid, lazy blah blah....these are your words...I call it a lack of composure.

We all sit here and make comments <ok> including you who's always got a list of excuses lined up for absolutely everytime we don't fulfill our potential.

<laugh> Do I come across like that? I have made many criticisms of Spurs on this board from the appointment of various managers to the purchase of players like Bent and Crouch, Bentley, and so on. I suppose I have confidence in Pochettino because to my mind he gets most things right and what he says usually IMO makes simple sense.
My defence that you call excuses highlights your position not mine. You appear to expect certain things and get miffed when they don't happen. I basically accept the game for what it is and do not 'expect' anything. Whether we fulfill our potential or not is a matter of opinion, but what is a fact is that we have exceeded what our financial position would reasonably lead us to expect. You appear to have unrealistic expectations of both players and the team and are therefore disappointed when they don't live up to them.

At the very least there should be retrospective punishment for that.

I've got confidence in Poch...not much in Levy when it comes to the team....and I've stated that many times.

He's outdated...the TV money has made clubs smaller than us more braver...this guys financial strategy was fine once...where we could pay our 10/20 million for players that would improve us...such as Mahrez...but now these players prices have jumped up...everyone above us and below us are playing ball with the financial market...Levy needs to change his financial strategy or sell up once the stadium is done and leave the club to those that are serious about silverwware...1 trophy under ENIC is ****...wether you like it or not...we are a football club not a community care scheme built on the premise that once we were very ****...therefore forever be grateful.

Levy can **** off once he's built his Golden Goose...let me remind you...I'm not supporting a team that is ****...I'm supporting one on the cusp of greatness. How you think..time does not age footballers is beyond me because ths bunch is getting older...our time to invest is now...if we have no money now...we won't have any until the stadium is paid off...that won't be as soon as we are up and running..that will be through many seasons of selling Cheese....by then this squad is dismantled.

Get some serious money men in who are proud to have a fantastic football team that befits a fantastic stadium.

Let's see what your mate Levy does to help Poch this transfer window...you reckon he even knows it's open? I don't think much gets through his hard hat personally...where's the 11 mill from Dembele going?

I hear Higuain is up for grabs...pay him about 6 of that...pay the rest as a loan fee to his club...we got ourselves someone capable of filling Kane's boots....but obviously Hell will freeze over before Levy does anything remotely favourable for the team. Why can't Levy do that?...I bet that money is accounted for on other things....never backs managers...the managers have to back themselves by cutting corners in the squad. Don't forget your mate Levy dumped Jol because Jol's next step needed money...Levy thought it easier to get rid....he's no footballing man...he's just the best you have seen...that doesn't mean there's not better...Audere Est Facere <ok>

You'll be feeding us all Levy's excuses in a few years time when he's still arsing about trying to sell N'koudou for 20 million whilst trying to sign Timo Werner for 10 million.
