I think the most remarkable thing about the side is the fact that it has been unchanged for a few games.

If we hold on to this, get a contract on Ole's desk tomorrow morning.

Not convinced of our chances of a clean sheet though. Will need a second.

That's a bit harsh when the team that was in shambles 5 weeks ago is winning away from home. If we win this, I think you will find that many will give the accolade to Ole.

    DONE!

    upload_2019-1-13_13-28-49.png

It is beyond pathetic reading these kinds of analysis. They speak as though players are machines that simply turn at will. With Mourinho, we were in a negativity filled environment. Anyone that thinks that will not immediately impact performance has to not know anything about humans. Such flawed binary and myopic perspective of the psychology of creating a winning formula.

    That absolutely should not happen.

We can not rush the decision this time. Ole is essentially on trial for the remainder if the season, top 4 and a trophy and he definitely deserves it.

He doesn't because we beat Spurs. Yet.

At what point would you say he earns it? Evaluate where we are at the end of the season?

    Yes, what's the rush?

    All options should be explored.

Can UTD get 4th spot, 5th is realistic, 4th may be one step to far

For balance - under JM we get steamrollered 0 - 3 at home. Under OGS we take the game to them and win at Wembley. Huge turn-around, and not just a one-off - six wins in a row.........................

FFS give him time. He's only had 6 matches and to expect his team to play like Pochetinno's who has had 4 years is unrealistic. He's brought the feel good factor and yes his wins may have been a mixture of luck and weaker opposition. But at least he is looking to maximise the potential of his squad and yes we were lucky today but that only confirms how everyone including the GK is playing better with him as manager. With Mourinho we would have won some, drawn some and lost some of these 6 matches.

I personally never think we are unlucky when we lose a match. Conversely, I never accept luck as the cause of winning a match. Using the logic is applied when a win is attributed to luck by ignoring the value of a good a goalkeeper - then Tottenham would have scored all 11 shots on target today (linear thinking). I guess we would have scored the 7 that we had on target and the score line would have ended 11-7 to Tottenham. Or perhaps we could have been up by 4 in the first half with the chances that we had. Of course we know that football is not linear. Had Spurs scored one of the goals doesn't mean United would have completely capitulated with Spurs going on to win by 5.

Point being, today's win had nothing to do with luck. The players put in a shift and the goal keeper performed extremely well as a key member of the team. No more, no less. When we failed to win at Chelsea in November because we conceded in injury time, we weren't unlucky. We allowed ourselves to throw the game away. So I don't see how we today's victory is due to luck. When we eventually lose, it surely won't be due to lack of luck - unless the players slip like Stevie G. lol

It is almost a guarantee that we would not have won the last six games. We would have even drawn some at home.

Lloris had to make some saves as well, I don't think Utd are getting the credit they deserve in this one. I'm off for a shower now I suddenly feel very dirty and quite sick.

I agree, I think we were fully worthy of the win and luck had nothing to do with it.

We changed the tactics based on Spurs's change of tactics and decided to take the one nil, more or less. The fact we managed it means job done, not that we were lucky.

Whoever said that Poch has had four yeas + working with the team is also bang on, Solskjaer has barely had that in weeks so we're unlikely to be a smooth running machine, still plenty to do.

He's done brilliantly so far though, far from embarrassing in any shape or form. Anyone thinks that was embarrassing should be ****ing embarrassed themselves.

We still need to be cool and wait till season end to make a decision on the manager though. At the very least, that keeps them hungry.

He's done well so far but it would be a risk long term, do you think you'll have a new manager in the Summer?

    I don't know.

I just don't want us giving Solskjaer the job on the basis we just beat Spurs. There's no rush, let him see the season out and if we continue as we currently are then he'll earn the job.

The likes of Pochettino can't be ruled out.

Southgate certainly can be ruled out though!
