It's their bench that always worries me: Sanchez, Fellaini, Rashford and young can all turn a game.

Im as nervous tonight about a match as I have been for a long time. I feel this is so important to where we are as team. Win this and it will really put a marker down. A loss, even an unlucky one, and it will be same old Spurs.

I like the lineup, but part of me feels that 4231 will work in united’s favour this evening, and I’d rather we played 352, with a lineup that included sanchez.
4231 has “huffing and puffing” from us written all over it, struggling to create clear cut chances, IMO.
Hopefully this is the best RCL ever. <cheers>

I know exactly what you mean but it's always possible to lose at OT however good you are.

So the DOF gets his first run-out, and Pochettino
decides not to do unto Jose as he would do unto you
(if the personal pressure on you was the same) .

Time will soon tell on that.

That’s true and I don’t mean that I personally would necessarily think it would be doom and gloom if we lost. It’s just the narrative that would come from a defeat. Everyone would be saying Spurs bottler again rightly or wrongly.
Generally I do always think the worst but after beating Chelsea away last year I am a little more optimistic than before. I hate to think like this though as I don’t want to tempt fate!

Taking into account Mourinho's negative mindset I like our aggressive line up.

Davies' poor form, both in pre-season and the first couple of games, is enough reason to force a change

Yep. Ben was immense last season but hasn’t been too great so far. If Danny fancies turning up with his 15/16 & 16/17 form, then I’d be delighted.

I would have liked to have seen us more aggressive. They are there for the taking.

If he really wants a move then what better shop window than this

  15. Wouldn't disagree with pre-season although he was playing CB with youth around him. Thought he was ok against Fulham and he is consistently stronger defensively than Rose. As I said earlier, hope DoF has his brain in gear........

    Stop being so optimistic!
I think mourinho has been clever as last game at old Trafford, smalling and jones totally dominated Kane. I hope today he plays with a point to prove against them.
