And back to our desired line up.

    Lloris
    Walker, Vlad, Dawson, Vert
    Sandro, Paulinho
    Lennon, Dembele, Lamella
    Greaves

Paulinho put in a couple of MOM performances earlier this season-don't write him off yet.

Dembele tries to take his man on and succeeds sometimes-doing it in a forward position gives us a real scoring chance. If he loses the ball at least he is well forward.

Greavsie as likely to score as any of the other strikers.

I'm expecting an attacking style, or at least think AVB would be wise to use one. I'm finding it much harder to defend his dull football than one disaster and a two game losing streak, which happen to almost everyone. Considering he lost his key player at the last moment two years in a row, and has a ridiculously new squad, poor and erratic results are understandable and ought to be forgivable. Dull football at a place whose motto is audere est facere, not so much.

An exciting loss would help his cause more than a dull draw, IMO.

Got a feeling that this will be a game to watch through fingers.
Watch as it is a possible win, but expecting the worst!
After Soldado's blanks on Thursday does anyone think that Defoe will start?
He kind of makes a habit of scoring against Man U.

    433 with

    Sandro Holtby Dembele
    Townsend Defoe Lennon

Not that AVB has ever tried to counterattack, but it might be the best plan.

"After Soldado's blanks on Thursday does anyone think that Defoe will start?"

COMMON SENSE suggests Defoe will be starting as Soldado played in Tromso ...

Today's team: Lloris; Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Vertonghen; Paulinho, Sandro; Lennon, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado #THFC

    AVB has lost it now.

I think whoever we play at the moment makes very little difference . The AVB system is king , it is how
well we play the rigid system.

"Lineup has me concerned to say the least"

The paralysing fear has reached its logical conclusion it seems.
That is the MF I would expect to see against Barca at the Nou Camp.

Lloris; Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Vertonghen; Paulinho, Sandro; Lennon, Dembele, Chadli; Soldado
Friedel, Kaboul, Capoue, Holtby, Sigurdsson, Townsend, Defoe

On the plus side there's no Naughton...

That is one funky lineup. Though I like starting Dembele, maybe even at CM, and Soldado isn't so bizarre, considering he's been starting, I can't even begin to fathom Chadli, a malcontent who's deservedly been given very little game time. His only useful contributions have been admittedly decent-ish crosses we've never made any effort to meet. He's also been enamored of shooting, invariably into row Z. Why him instead of Gylfi or Townsend or even Lamela I can't even begin to understand. I thought he was crummy in the arctic wasteland.

Yeah - right...as if any human being could detect the difference to how we'd line up against Barca at the Nou Camp and how we'd line up against Hull at home nowadays. You're dreaming!

Also I swear I just woke up from a dream (it's 3:43am here) where I was describing Chadli's shooting to someone. It wasn't complementary.

I can. Methinks you are not a "proper" Spurs supporter. ;)

Utd are there for the taking this season and you line up like that

Either it's a stroke of genius by AVB or it show's a complete lack of experience - probably the latter, but we'll see.
