At least Lennon FINALLY gets a game. We've set up to negate Man Utd based on Livermore and Sandro playing - wrong thing to do but with Bale and VdV out (neither even make the bench) there's not a whole lot else we could do. Front six in a hexagon? Sandro and Livermore sat back in front of the defence, Modric and Lennon out wide left and right then Adebayor with Saha up front.
I want to keep belief but modric on the left with two holding midfielders doesn't fill me with much confidence!
I wonder if Sandro, Modric and Livermore will play centre (to outnumber Utd) and Lennon will be behind Ade and Saha with the freedom to go left or right?
that midfeild is unbalanced as was last week's 2 holding midfielders at home..and we all were banging on about our squad depth...dont know about anyone else but im no happy with this team..unless we win....and that is my right as a fan after last week's debacle!!!
Parker, Bale and VDV out, really does limit our options. This is when we could have used Hudd next to Sandro in the middle. We would then be reminiscent of our team a few seasons back, when we began to be dangerous. Before Bale became a necessity on the left. Sandro and Livermore have to play an absolute blinder for us to get anything our of this game. I hope they can step up. Scholes and Carrick could have a field day if we aren't careful.
Numbers 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 in the squad today, only 2 single digit players. Well I thought it was interesting anyway
fukin typical luck against United and we havent even kicked off..im going to have a bad day today i can tell...
It seems I'm not the only one who has a bad feeling about this match...
i bloody hope so HD..it seems like a better balance than what HR will come out with no doubt..he does baffle me..and therefore im going to stik my neck out and say he will definatly fail at international management..tactically he will get annhilated...back to topic....lets see how much fight we got today.
He missed the international in mid-week as well so it's not as if he's suddenly developed a magic injury. EDIT - we should get all our team to listen to this before they go out onto the field:
